Get back under your rock.
Seeing as you started the thread and gave credence to the claims being made, I'd say the question is entirely pertinent.

So why won't you answer it?

You really should have. Because your failure to do so left your arse hanging out of the window looking stupid.
I don't think so. IIRC, you and others thought the whole story was a pile of nonsense - well I went up to Birmingham and interviewed the hotel owner who was good enough to tell me it all first hand. You guys thought the Daily Jang article didn't exist - well it certainly did and there's no question that if it was translated it would say what we thought it did.

What this is a case of is that you will simply move the goalposts as you see fit - there's little point me doing translations for your mentality, is there?

A local Birmingham paper also carried the story so you can be sure that the hotel owner made the claims he did, even if you won't take my word for it

Yes there is. There's a total question. Follow this world changing story up all that way. If it's that important i think you should be a bit more comitted to the truth.

Right just heard back from my Italian mate and he says that the article is mainly about Cossiga who apparently is a "son of a bitch fascist bastard" and Berlusconi's media empire bigging himself up to the middle east.

He ranted on in jumbled English about Cossiga and Gladio, then I asked about what it said regarding 9/11.

He said that it states Cossiga claims, just as many people on the left, that 9/11 involved the CIA + Mossad yadda yadda yadda.

So there you go.

Happy?

Didn't think so. :p

Which people on 'the left'?

And like that's a defence? Other idiots believe the same idiocies? But it's ok as they're 'on the left'?

I'm yet to see a right wing conspiraloon to be honest, the two positions are fairly inconsistent at first glance.

Are you asking rhetorical questions for fun?

Ok, you tell me how a fear of secret organisations the run the world's governments / bankers squares well with a belief that a strong government and capitalist economy is best.

Er, there's a huge shitload of them, particularly in the US. The UN is a socialist conspiracy to start a world government and stop honest patriots etc etc.

Are you playing dumb or are you for real? Have you heard of Timothy Mcveigh? Of the protocols of the elders of zion? Of the American militiass?Of the endless groups of right wing racist conspiraloons arguing that every thing ever is an act of aggression on the part of a black/jewish/gay conspiracy?

(nice attempted backpeddle via definition there mind - better just to admit you overplayed your hand IMO, that way you get the credit, still who am i to tell a man like you?)

Just hold your horses. Why do you have to be so arguementative? Where's the love?

Firstly, that was my mates wording. Furthermore EVERY left-wing person I have discussed this with, in person, believes there is more to the tale than the CNN version.

It seems to me that only on here that self-proclaimed lefties cannot cope with any accusations thrown at the Yanky ruling class.

Oh come on, you can do better than that, surely, that's rote stuff.

Can anyone spot the difference between the two claims? An avid truth-seeker maybe?

I'm sure you're familiar with plenty of unwashed types. What pecentage of them think something is a bit fishy 9/11 wise?

I bet after a few beers you have a word or two to mention on the topic.

What's that got to do with the difference between your two claims?

And no, i don't.

I wonder if your missus disagrees? :D

I think i can honestly say that this case doesn't weight as heavily on either of our minds as it appears to on yours. It's pretty open and shut IMO. AQ did it, acting to its own agenda, helped by a series of intelligence fuck ups, Bush and the neo-cons made the most of the window of opportunity to puruse long held plans. That's it. That's what happened. As you know full well.

al queida hey?

I believe that a tiny group asked Bin Laden for funding for their pet project. They were not called al queida, nor was Bin Laden at the head of a group called al queida.

Bin Laden only got to his point of power with the fundies because he had cash. Fuck loads.

The only point in debate, for me at least, is either it was a 'blunder' or warnings were deliberately ignored.

Donald Rumsfeld stated he had no idea of the scale of the attacks. I believe him. Who could imagine the scale of the destruction?

Yes, that's a banality that i've often pointed out on here myself. I was using AQ as shorthand for the group and supporting ideology that carried out the attacks. The other points don't have anything to with my posts. And with that i'm off to sleep the sleep of the just.
