Two blokes down the pub you would glass.

I've heard the same things as ska invita also from people who are graduates. Can't speak for him but I didn't read him as meaning that. A wider point is that part of why people don't feel qualified. The last referendum was over 30 years ago...I think many don't feel qualified because of a lack of confidence and familiarity with the process.
The last referendum was in 2011, the AV referendum. (Which funnily enough was another shit question with two shit answers.)

Good effort, but one is a guy who just lost an election to a Muslim in a period of extreme Islamophobia, and the other is someone who was demoted by his boss a year ago. Cunts? Absolutely. Powerful? Not really.

Anyone would think there is no 'extreme islamophobia' and most people are just getting on with each other and behaving themselves more or less as usual.

Capital will be energised regardless of the outcome. Whichever way the outcome is there will be serious money to be made for the City boys as per usual. Besides more than a few hedge funds are backing out anyway.
If capital was going to be energised by a Leave vote why did the CBI, the BoE, the IMF, the Institute of Directors, etc, etc all line up behind remain? Capital was firmly behind Remain, to pretend otherwise is just wilful blindness.

Yeah, I am sure that you are right but to me it has been striking. I also think it feeds into the overall tone of the campaign, like everyone else in this country I have seen and heard so much bullshit over the past month in relation to this campaign from both sides but the Remain campaign stalwarts have really outdone the arrogance of the Leavers. No matter how nonsensical the claims of Remainers, they are always conveyed with a 'we know best' tone.
It was picturing all the smug faced middle class remain liberal twats that helped me make my mind up to vote leave.

And the polling stations are shut. That must be why I've not had an email urging me to vote for ooh, half an hour.

Voted about an hour ago. Leave. Very minor wobble in the booth, but no more than when I have to decide which lefty grouplet to vote for in general/local elections. I don't think anything will change for wc people either way, so I won't be disappointed if remain wins, but at least this way we have a chance, however small.

Currently drinking Scottish beer and eating Swiss chocolate and resisting the urge to get into arguments with friends on Facebook who are all implying that I (not me personally; all leavers) am a racist and have The Fear because I voted leave. Out of all my friends, both real and Facebook, I'm the only one who seems to be for leave. My family are all leave - I suspect for racist reasons mostly. It's the only time we've ever been on the same side politically, even if it's for a different cause. Feels strange.

I quite like referendums. We should have more of them. Was thinking about the Swiss model on the way back from the polling station and that might have been what triggered my chocolate impulse buy at the offie.

I wish this was a regular occurance.
Thinking or going to the offie?

Voted after work, couple of people were leaving a couple came in after me. For what it's worth I spoiled my ballot. I felt dirty afterwards.

I couldn't vote to remain. Thus endorsing, what the EU are doing, have done. Despite some compelling arguments for voting leave, from the likes of BA, Red Squirrel, Stephj amongst others on here, Voting leave Felt like endorsing And boosting the side of the mainstream debate I also despise.
