Discussion: UK anti-vaxx 'freedom' morons, protests and QAnon idiots

Ironically, it’s viruses that change your DNA (by hijacking your RNA mechanism to replicate and inserting themselves into it), whereas the vaccine does not.
I've been amazed at how the antivaxxers totally missed that the AZ vector is a DNA virus with the spike code converted to DNA and inserted into its genome.
I don't know if it gets into the cell nuclei though....not that that would mean it could integrate into your genome.
The virus doesn't actually act any differently to the RNA vaccine except in terms of the numbers of cells involved and their location.
I.e a small number of muscle cells rather than thousands of URT cells..

Regarding the ‘natural v vaccine acquired’ immunity study that was obliquely referred to several days ago upthread via a media article: see post #1787 in the vaccines thread.

e2a: PS - note who funded the research. ;)
PPS For your amusement, and unsurprisingly, leading virologist and infectious disease specialists dismember the paper and pillory the authors - 'TiVW 986 Clinical Update'.

Bloody hell, state of this.

That's nuts, but I love the second paragraph here...

And why does the Party want such a ban? Well, an article for WINK News by Michael Hudak and Taylor Wirtz quoted Joe Sansone, the guy who drafted the resolution, as saying, “The Lee County Republican Party is going to be on the vanguard of this campaign to stop the genocide because we have foreign non-governmental entities that are unleashing biological weapons on the American people.”

Stop the genocide? Foreign non-governmental entities unleashing biological weapons? Holy space-laser-operating-lizard-alien-living-on-a-flat-Earth-with-a-5G-transmitter. And here you thought Covid-19 vaccines were meant to protect people from getting hospitalized and dying from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections. Silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids.

:D

it's florida, which is far away and all that but still i find it pretty scary, that people in positions of real power believe this crazy shit. Or consider it expedient to pretend to believe it or whatever.

More batshittery along similar lines, this time from QOPers in Montana:

Don't worry - Florida will soon be under the waves once sea level rise kicks in properly with the melting icecaps. Be good for humanity when that happens.

Whilst I agree with the end result for "Florida Man" - it is very handy to have them all in one place

dark ages shit
I have seen it argued by learned and wise authors that we are entering a new Dark Ages - the retreat of rationality and the re-emergence of manipulated emotion (not to say that the Dark Ages were all that dark - they've been misrepresented, for example, Irish monks* preserving Classical literature & knowledge, and legendary or historical accounts of the British Isles... then going into Continental Europe and spreading knowledge and wisdom while converting pagans to Christianity)
* Geordies too can be proud: the venerable Bede, St Cuthbert and other holy and devoted NE blerks whose names will nae be forgotten

That Davos/WEF poster you posted pogofish also has big references to the transhumanism thing that conspiracists are very worried about. Because of course, it would be easy to forcibly implant a mobile phone in someone's arm. Everyone would just let that happen.

Bicameral mind innit. We’re living through a cognitive and technological revolution, some are embracing this and being a bit weird with labels and identities; others are just going stark raving mad.

Stumbled across an antivaxx March up Regent Street when en route to John Lewis today. A few hundred people chanting “they lie we die” with a bewildering array of messages on placards.

I was given three incredible leaflets by separate people in the space of a few minutes. Will try to post them later.
