I'm not that regular in P&P, and tend to stay out of UKP (as a non-hostile ex-SWP member and RESPECT supporter I get mightily pissed off with UKP), but I go through bursts of posting in there every few months.

I suspect that I slip beneath notice because most of the posters in UKP are more intent on slagging off their usual rivals rather than paying attention to the odd post from someone who just pops in every once in a while.

Or because I don't (unless my name gets dragged into it by other posters) tend to get involved in pointless personal abuse - I suggest to you that it's that sort of thing that grabs your attention more than serious political issues.

This thread is an example of why UK P&P isn't a good read and many threads in UK P&P degenerate or start as something similar to this thread.

Do the heaviest contributors to UK P&P disagree or do they think this is desirable?

I don't think it's worth posting in the UKP forum because threads degenerate into personal abuse and mud-slinging. I have a long history of political activity - I mean real political activity that doesn't involve sitting on my arse in front of a computer getting involved in pointless arguments with the likes of you.

I actually think you have a point, but you are attacking the wrong person.

I also think that epona is wrong to see it as her 'name being dragged in' but rather it being used as a reference to a previous thread.

I wanted the sN/BA stuff to be left.
