Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I have become obsessed with Uniqlo trouser leggings. They look like expensive skinny jeans, but are £30 and incredibly comfortable. They wash well and don't bag, and are also long in the leg (33"). I've never got on with skinny jeans because of my hourglass shape, but these are brilliant and I have bought them in all three colours (black/navy/dark blue).

I went to boots today to spend my birthday voucher and they have an offer on some Loreal stuff- 2 for £14.

I got some true match foundation and extra volume collagen massacre.

That saved me about 7.50 then I got a £5 no7 voucher.

Anyone here used a winge (fake fringe) btw.

I'm really tempted. I love a fringe but struggle with sweaty forehead and ended up growing out every fringe I've ever had. I reckon a winge is the perfect solution for a fickle fringer.

They look pretty realistic but wonder if the join/clips are obvious?

I so want to try one because my hair is so thin and non-fringe worthy, but this looks a bit ouch...

Not yet, I'm skint. Might do next payday though.

I'm going to see if they have similar at the cheapy hair shop near me so I can try it out.

I can't claim credit for finding it, madamv told me about it recently.

I really like it. Especially as I got it for £37.50 :D I got a couple of shirty cord dresses as well but the jury's out on them because they're too fucking short  If they were just a couple of inches longer they'd look nice.

good work on the coat and the dresses  can you not let the hem down? that might gain you another inch. if you interface the back and zigzag the very edge it should hold fine. i guess they're not really the right style to add lace or other trimmings but that would be your other alternative.

edit: or if you were up for putting a fair bit of work into them you could get half a meter of contrasting/complimenting cord, add to the hem and cover the collar/cuffs too, for more of a "look"

edit again :D: the other way of tying in a different colour cord would be to change the buttons to match the addition, although changing all those buttons would probably be as much work as covering collar and cuffs :hmm:

final edit: myself i'd just embrace the extra inches of leg :D

Extra inches of 'my' legs though. Not ideal. When I bend over everyone will be able to see my arse, they're that short
As they're tesco dresses there's not much hem to speak of so I'm not really sure whether to keep them or not. They look nice and long in the photos. Pisses me right off that does.

I'm not doing sewing

I'm really tempted to go and try these on after your glowing report, although I am more pear than hourglass, they do sound pretty great! :)

After dieting since early summer I am now thin enough to buy a Chinese XL ( :D) so I celebrated by buying two pairs of wooly shorts from walmart to wear with tights. Will continue to diet until I reach a Chinese Large since XL is still hard to find in a lot of shops. No cake for me, ever again.

God, I think I'd go mad if I lived in Asia permanently. They're all so tiny and make me feel like an elephant! What size is a Chinese XL?

The Uniqlo trouser leggings go up to a 32 inch waist, btw. I noticed that the bigger sizes are hard to come by - there seemed to be tons in a size 27, but not much else. Bloody Asian sizing again.

(I bought some XL trousers in Zara over the summer - I'm a size 12!)

I'd say these shorts were about a size 10/12. Not XL in my opinion! I feel more sorry for fat Chinese people cos I never see any plus-size clothes!

Of course, you're right, uniqlo is Asian sizes too isn't it? Grrr! I'll have to go and find out if I can squeeze my disproportionately large thighs into them. :D

Not surprised that Zara call a size 12 extra large either, their clothes give me flab-fear! Are you tall? I always think if I was a shorty I might have more wriggle-room with Asian sizing.
