I haven't seen it tbh but haven't been looking. I'm 5'8 so a total fail when it comes to shopping in Asia. It does seem that people who are shorter but not necessarily slimmer than me are often a smaller size. Similarly people who aren't much lighter but seem to be a size 8. Bloody hips! (Which of course Asian people don't have much of - my friend who's from Singapore is straight up and down and looks fantastic in jeans as a result.)

(I'm really, really sorry if anyone owns and loves this skirt, I'm sure it's my own failing that makes me find it so funny)

Sigh. I have to buy jeans, and I hate shop sizing - firstly because everything seems to be teeny-tiny, and then either the waist/arse ratio is wrong, or the legs are ridiculously long.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for curvy jeans?

Not yet, I'm skint. Might do next payday though.

I'm going to see if they have similar at the cheapy hair shop near me so I can try it out.

I can't claim credit for finding it, madamv told me about it recently.

They had some in Boots when I went today - a fiver... it wasn't great but I'd def give a decent one a go if I could get a good match for my hair colour..

I also hate shopping for jeans and last time it took me 18 months to find some. I finally got some at m&s. The per una range. Stretchy but don't go baggy and a good fit.

This was probably about 2 years ago now but they would be my first stop next time I have the chore. I'm a 16 by the way but I think they do up to 20 and 3 different lengths.

They are gorgeous!!!!

The third one in particular looks tons better in real life and fits like a dream, really nice fabric and hangs well (iykwim)...all three for £50, reduced at Peacocks online

:)

vaguely 40's shape dresses are very flattering to a more portly, big busted woman such as myself

lovely dresses chik  how did you find the sizing with them? :hmm: last time i tried on pearl lowe stuff it was all over the place.

Tbh honest i was expecting them to be a bit too small but the third one (with crochet collar) is a generous size 18 and just looked marvellous (wasn't going to choose it but took a chance and very pleasantly suprised).......i would say they are about right size wise, if a little generous (iykwim)

i love peacocks

Got a jacket like this (looks nicer than in this ebay photo, fits me pretty snazzily) from a charity shop for a tenner as i need some more smart-ish things to wear when i'm teaching english in the next few months...

ordered :)

I got some sparkly heels, a floaty snakeprint shirt from Zara and a frock off t'internet which is orange and has birds on it. :)

i bought a navy blue merino cardigan from the sally army today, only to discover it's a ladies cardi.

i suppose it means i won't spend the next 6 months wondering whether cardigans are an acceptable item of clothing or not...

my treats for losing stone two and three:

(my one is ultra-dark brown, and it comes with a replacement golden shoulder chain).

and this:

which is even nicer in the flesh, and comes on a really long chain.
:D

just looked... lovely! Is it closed/sewn wrap or actually a wrap (that can flap open iykwim)... dunno why I'm asking, i've just spent the day clearing out old clothes and really can't buy more..

Jeans! Which fit! All over! Woot! :D

<deep breath>It's okay, I'm not having a manic episode. Jeans which fit are more or less impossible to find in my size and shape. So I've got one pair to be worn in a couple of weeks' time, and one pair a size smaller (can almost get the zip done up) as a bit of an incentive.
