Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I've just realised I didn't reply to that... Local arts café that has rotating stock from different local makers - no idea of the maker's name and they don't have an etsy shop that I can discover.
Thanks. It's lovely, and has inspired me to order some plain beads and paint. I'm going to use some old illustrations from Little Red Riding Hood as a starting point.

Yes, very. I'm not really used to having all me ankles wrapped up but the extra support's good. Be good walking boots I think. Which, considering the 90 quid odd I paid for a pair of Meindl boots makes me wonder why I never got any earlier. I will undoubtedly end up with more pairs and it's all your fault.

Yeah....they are unbeatable in my mind..
The support is exactly why I love them.
I feel naked and weakened in any other shoe now. :D

They can be a bit slippery on rocks and long grass, if they're the standard soles. Don't go falling over any cliffs.

This, is true...
But they're better than runners in the same situation.
I wear mine along a local gravelly cliff walk and have found them to be stable, non slipping and comfortable....but I wouldn't wear them hillwalking. They're not grippy enough.

I'm shadowing a social worker next week so bought a new frock from Asda.

I'll wear it with leggings and brown leather Chelsea boots.
Does this say trainee social worker?

I'm going for yes Looby. I work in a very close field and would definitely wear that combo to work.

I'm currently on the search for work clothes and can't find any. I like trousers & skirts and tops that don't hug my belly!

Cheers moonsi, I'm so used to wearing whatever I want in my job I've forgotten how to be smart. Although most people that have shadowed so far have turned up to meet whole teams wearing jeans. [emoji1]

I'm struggling to find clothes at the moment. I'm trying to buy jeans but all plus size retailers seem to think that all fat people have massive thighs and arses so they're all way too big. And dresses seem to be all horrible synthetic fabrics.

I did a £250 quid asos order and it's all going back. [emoji35]

Well...the DM sandals arrived.

Very comfy sole ..but surprisingly tight across the front....
I've got my thickest socks on now in the hopes that the front will stretch. They're about an inch longer than my foot so only the tip of the big toe is visible, which looks a bit odd...
But ..... I know the score...time will stretch them a bit and I know they'll be great. :)...

Update.
I'm returning them. Sad to say they are just not ok. The circulation to my toes was cut off...
Farewell DM sandals.... :(

I know exactly what you mean. I feel like I am dressed by the supermarkets at the moment as they are the only place in my town that has clothes which go up to a size 20.

Total impulse buy while walking through TK Maxx vaguely looking for some flat black boots. SO SHINY!!!

On practical front, will allow me to clear out two pairs of shoes I don't wear much - some rubberised trainers I bought in a hurry on holiday and have always been a bit too big and I don't really like, and a pair of fun but not very comfortable brothel creeper/trainer shoes that are on the verge of falling apart the next time I wear them.

No clue where I will wear this jumper/metallic skirt all in one thingy, but just fancied it. I have a pair of super-shiny silver docs that'd go nicely with it.

Also this furry scarf, which I craved desperately when it was £40, and just snapped up for 9.
