I finally just allowed myself to buy these. They arrive tomorrow and I am going to love them as if I had made them myself.

They were originally £110 but I just got them for £63.

Ooh where did you find them for that price - if you don't mind me asking. Been after those for a couple of years now!

Sorry for the massive photos.

Just placed an order. Last pair apparently. Really bloody hope they fit now.

Thanks for heads up!

OMG I have corrupted you to the Evil-AMAZON-Darkside! :(

In other news I am gonna fucking love those boots hard! :D

They are rocket-boots in disguise, I will develop special powers and strength in them. Can't wait to strut and dance in them, I have loved them from afar for a longgggggggggggggggggggg time. ;)

Yes - same RubyToogood has several pairs that I have been coveting for some years now. I've searched and searched for money off ones so this is fab - thanks. We all need a place to go and strut our super powers in them now. I think Biddlybee has some too. Team Fly!

A useful black skirt and three pairs of opaque tights, because we're getting to the time of year when shops decide you can't have opaque tights any more.

The two pairs of tights I haven't worn will have to go back <sigh> as the one pair I have worn suddenly rolled up and shot down to my knees when I went to the shops. I have precisely one pair of tights that do what they are supposed to do. ARGH.

I hate it when that happens! the more you try to hitch them up, the more they have a life and momentum of their own. I tried the Pretty Polly Curves and they were sooo comfy, but then suddenly decided to sabotage me.

I have fishnets cos they stretch and I can anchor them under my bra but I'm yet to find non rolling tights. I can't wear them cos I am persistently doing the hitch.

Wolfords. Ridiculously expensive but stay where they are supposed to and last forever. I've given up on anything else as they've proved false economies, laddering or bobbling, or getting those strange horizontal lines. Or, as you say, suddenly rolling down.

Think they only work if you're tall though- only ever heard rave reviews from tall people.

On the subject of tights....fucking nightmare when you are in between sizes! Am happy in tights at the moment so enjoying the lack of 1stworldtightproblem but solidarity sisters! :D

I have new tights from Peacocks. Nicest tights I have ever owned :) £4.59 for 3, recommended.

Also bought some knee high socks :)

And a chazza shop bargain of a taupe and hot pink tuille skirt last week.

Wolfords don't go up to my size. I have to buy monumentally large tights because of being tall as well as fat - I think that was the problem with these ones, they seem to assume you're about 5' 0"

I'm not a huge jeans fan, but I have been wanting to get a better make of denim for my next pair. Dark blue 7 for All Mankind on Secret Sales at £115 off did for me, I don't generally go far wrong with dark blue boot cuts. Will have to get them shortened quite a bit, I'm sure:

I have to wear large or extra large and I am average build to a little bigger and about 5'6. It's a joke.

Rutita1 Biddlybee RubyToogood - my Fly boots arrived and they are very snug - despite being size 8 (stupid fat feet).

Do they loosen up or should I send them back? :( ) Rutita1 - I appreciate it's a bit early to ask you this.

How snug is snug? What kind of socks were you wearing with them? They do give, but remember they are new so you do need to wear them in a bit. Opt for thin socks or tights for the first few wears. I have wide feet too and am doing okay with mine. If they are too snug don't suffer it mate.

I have been out dancing in them already...I pranced and strutted, threw shapes and hill walked drunk. We are in love. :D

I don't know if they're too snug or not - I generally only wear trainers. I have a few pairs of "proper" shoes that I've manged to find but I do always struggle to find shoes other than trainers and even with trainers I'm very limited.

I want them so bad...

In that case perservere with them...thin socks and tights for a while. Plan to wear them in...a few hours/an evening at a time. They are harder than I thought they would be FWIW but when I tried my colleagues on who had had them a while they were nice softened up.

I am a comfort shoe wearer too mate so I do understand. KEEP them, love them like I do! :D

They sound too small gaijingirl

I have had boots before that were too big or small, you can't lie to your feet and in the end they went to the charity shop. I'd send them back :(

Are they too tight across your feet, or not long enough? If the former, they'll probably be ok in time, and you could try a Shoe Stretcher spray. If the latter, send 'em back, they'll not get better.

too tight across... I don't even know anymore what too tight across means though.. I sometimes wonder if it is normal or do I really have such abnormal feet? I suspect it's years of wearing unstructured shoes and my feet just spreading and spreading.

I've never tried that style. The Fly boots I've had have been clearly big enough for me but they're quite soft. It might be the style because I have quite fat feet and am always impressed that their stuff fits me. You can try mine on some time.
