Hope it isn't too Bet Lynch on me.

No such thing as too Bet Lynch.

Just occasionally, this stuff comes in really useful. A friend of mine is at a posh works do tonight, having recently had a baby. She'd ordered a dress online and couldn't zip it up when it finally came yesterday (I don't think she's bought any clothes since the birth and didn't realise how much she'd changed shape). She has REALLY particular tastes/requirements in clothes and I was able to point her immediately to 3 dresses on the Monsoon site that I knew she'd be ok with; she managed to nip down to the nearest branch and buy one of them: day saved by R Toogood!

For interest, the three dresses:

The navy blue one is clearly the nicest but they didn't have that, so she got the other blue one.

Rather unexpected bargain... out with my work team on our pre-Xmas team jolly in Brick Lane and someone spotted an Orla Kiely sample sale, so the girls all went in while the guys went on to the pub. Mostly all still pretty expensive, except for this lovely cardi for £40. Everyone really likes it and it's nice on too, plus it's very satisfying to own something really well made a designed. Plus I did need another warm top! :)

I got 4 plain t shirts the other day . I am in the process of screen printing onto them to make them more interesting . So far I have done a robot/skull design .

yesterday the catherine's hospice charity shop furnished me with another ralph lauren jumper, this time a grey cotton v-neck sweatshirt for £2.

today i spent £6 on a cold method jacket from tkmaxx: it's in a shiny lemon yellow fabric which said 'brave, but could work' in the shop. at home, it mainly says 'ali g', so i may bung it on ebay (it's rrp was apparently 130 quid) - think i'll let it sit in the wardrobe a while to make my mind up...

2 pair of jeans from asos as they finally had some 6 and 8's in stock in long length. ordered one in each size as not too sure how generous the sizes are

Have been very naughty and bought this............ can't really afford it but fuck it

Quite a plain black pencil skirt from M&S - but fits perfectly round the waist and hips, which is no small feat for me, so I love it :D

Does the £5 deposit I put down for my hideous lime green and black Asda uniform count? :(

It's about as flattering as a bin bag.
