this is fucking great :) i've lost a load of weight recently and i have to keep stopping myself buying jumpsuits, cos i'd never have an occasion to wear one, but i finally have the figure for one :D

btw ms t sorry i typo'd i was looking at the pic you posted and meant to say non-model pics, i haven't seen a model pic for that dress hence at-sea-ness abut length.

i agree the fit isn't great rubes. myself i'd keep the lovely lace dress for parties and wear the not-so-nice for the funeral. really no-one notices what you wear for a funeral (although i still kick myself for wearing red to a memorial service when everyone else was in sombre colours... ) i don't think you'd find you associate the cardi so much with the event, so i'd go with that. sorry about your friend :(

I think the thing is that he liked nice looking ladies and would have appreciated me being dressed up.

I was really sorry to hear about your friend, Rubes.

Fwiw, I've worn dresses I loved to funerals and never felt weird about wearing them again.

I bought a silk floral shift dress from warehouse in the sale this morning. I wasn't sure about it on the hanger but thought i'd try it on and it was great - fitted perfectly and pretty flattering. A properly uplifting purchase - may wear it for the christmas party I'm going to tomorrow.

here is dress - again looks much better in the flesh and on than in the picture. I am currently wearing it round the flat for trial purposes and it is making me happy :) :)(and it goes really well with purple tights)

DO ITTTTTT

I've got loads of leotards like that, they're dead easy to wear, I can often be seen down Sainsburys with a jumper and some :hmm: ....uggs :hmm: over one.

hopefully ms t's right and it wouldn't bring sad associations. he'd have liked you to see you wearing a beautiful dress out and about, right?

Well I've just seen the dress code and it's "wear what he would have liked to see you in" - so I think that's probably the black lace dress. I'd forgotten that it was the works Christmas do today and I was going to wear it to that, which I did, so hopefully it's now just a dress in my wardrobe rather than forever The Dress I Wore To The Funeral.

I bought some hold ups from M&S to go with a party dress and they kept falling down.:mad: I am going to complain to M&S.

you're tall aren't you? I find the M&S ones just don't stay up properly either - I had to order some for tall people and the difference is amazing :D

Slash leotard Zenie

ooooh hope it has poppers, otherwise they're fucking annoying :D Bet it looks awesome on you chica

i got a lovely vintage 50's fitted, knee-lenth, high-neck dress from paper, dress vintage. needs to be fitted. way more expensive than i thought it would be (failed to look at label before taking to till) but am thinking, hell, i'm worth it (or something). is patterned with a kinda burnt orange and green "retro" print. i hope it looks nice when altered

Yum!!!

Oh I hate that, this happening to me in Peckham High St one day put me off hold ups for ages! Suppose you need a M/L cos your legs are LONG but they aren't wide :hmm: :(

I bought large 'cos I always do with tights because of the tall thing but they were falling off me. Where do you get yours from?

I really like it, yeh. It does seem to improve your skin texture quite a bit, I need my bloody pores reduced. :D

Did you order online?

A long cream cardigan, a short grey leopard print cardigan and a braided pleather belt, from Dorothy Perkins, plus some lovely soft tights from M&S - dark blue wool shot through with fine gold strands. All for Christmas/Boxing Day dressing up purposes.

Nice, stuff_it

Bought myself some pyjamas with penguins and stars on them at Peacocks today, as my only other long pjs aren't that warm, plus the buttons on the top and really impractical and just pop open all the time.

They are, I can wear a 4 in some shoes, but can only wear these in 5 as long as I don't wear my thickest socks (they only had one size in the sale)

Some new pyjamas in the Tesco sale. They were six quid and they're pink and they have RUSSIAN DOLLS ON THEM!!!!!
