I've never used the diffuser!

Maybe I should as my hair always seems a bit flat. Anyone with very long hair who can explain what to do? :D

The only way I can dry my hair with a hairdryer is with a diffuser, otherwise I'd look like an exploded mattress. I hang off the side of the bed and rest my hair in the cup of the diffuser, then barely move it. BIG hair.
I think they are really meant for hair like yours. The only people who buy them at work have very curly hair.

assuming your hair has some natural curl/wave diffusers are ace for giving body and enhancing the curl.

ideally put on a bit of serum / mousse / your stylant of choice first.

if i can't be arsed to dry do it properly, i just sort of grab a clump of hair, put diffuser against my head trapping clump in it and switch it on til my head's too hot. then switch off, move to another section and repeat until sufficiently dry. i find it easier to turn the hair-dryer off whilst switching sections of hair.

for a bit more effort and more thorough drying, i tip my head forward and do similar (trap hair in diffuser). then when underneath seems dry enough, return upright and finish off top layer of hair. the upside-down gives better volume plus dries the under-side better.

my hair is shoulder-length so i'm not in too much danger of tangling, but when it comes to gathering the hair, i take care to sort of fold the longer bits into a manageable clump so i'm not tangling it but also not running my hands through it (which lessens the curl).

Had about 5 mins left of lunchbreak and figured I'd give it a shot, as it was either going to be really nice on or not work at all. At first I thought the latter, then pulled it about a bit, as it's sort of layered and I'd I'd pulled it all down too far initially, and then it was great. Can't really see here, but it's got wide elastic panels at the side and sort of cowl neck, so it makes it look like I have a waist and give me a bit of much needed volume in boob area.

A bit of a splurge:
One secondhand dark blue silk knee length dress which would look horrible on me if worn during the day (the waistline's in exactly the wrong place and the full sleeves are elbow length). OTOH it was bought to wear as a nightie and cover up, and it works fine as that.
A secondhand pair of black linen trousers - somebody else has had the discomfort of washing and wearing them until they softened. They're far too long, but the legs are straight, they're only for summer use, and I've got pinking shears.
1 black silk cami top;
3 black cotton cami tops;
1 secondhand knee length black silk and lace skirt;
1 black pencil skirt;
1 long sleeved thermal top (small leopard print);
1 brown long sleeved V back and V front cotton jersey top;
1 secondhand green silk dress (I know where this is probably going to be worn);
1 secondhand blue silk dress (I know when this is probably going to get worn);
1 petite length chambray sundress.

That's a good haul! Well done :D
That's at least half the year's clothes (if you ignore underwear and socks or tights). :oops: It's just that I don't often see something which I could happily wear to death. And most of it will still be wearable if when I go down another size or two.
