Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I plucked up the courage to look at my bank balance and it wasn't anything like as scary as I thought, so I did a bit more sales shopping. A black top from Monsoon of which the shoulders and sleeves are spotty mesh, and these:

Once you get over a D cup you pay more. Once you get over a GG more still. I'm an H and I think spanglechick is a bigger cup size. If I keep an eye on websites like brastop (thankyou sheothebudworths :D), I sometimes get cheaper. But for a bog standard non sale bra I'm looking £28-£35 ish.

Good to meet more big girls! I'm HH ish cup so I always find bra shopping shoping fairly hard work. Easier in recent years getting the bigger cups but I dont think I've paid less than £25 ish in recent years. Finding anything just right and comfortable is sooo difficult - straps seem to start under armpits were they really dig in and hurt. I'm good at sewing so I usually end up adapting them - but it pisses me off cutting into a new £35 bra.

Usually go to Bravissimo or Oxford st department stores, will check out brastop but generally find mail order frustrating in getting a good fit unless its a style I've bought before. Any other big bra shop recommendations?

My suggestion is go for a fitting at Bravissimo and then buy off Brastop. I know I can get a decent fit with Curvy Kate and Freya so tend to buy then online. Or actually they do both those brands in Morleys so try on in there if you can't be arsed to go into town!

But for comfort and shape all my best bras are bravissimo own brand these days - so obviously am stuck with their prices. Currently a 34JJ btw.

I find curvy kate all give quite a flattening, rounded shape, whereas i like more forward projection. also find their straps insubstantial and dig in. Cleo bras seem to dig into my ribcage at the front, and then freya the shoulder straps are too wide set for me, and also very thin, plus i ordered a deco, i think - that was only 2 hook fastening at the back: just daft at my size.
Panache are near unwearable due to their insanely high wires in the underarm area... if you read the reviews panache are notorious for this - i've no idea why they don't adapt.

so - yeah... bravissimo own brand tends to be it.

Whereas for me Curvy Kate are about the only brand that seem to work for me shape wise (I have an annoying one bigger than the other scenario). I find Freya can sometimes give me a bit of unwelcome double tit action as well. Totally agree re Panache - made that mistake recently and won't again

I love Panache, or more specifically the Andorra which doesn't get all up in your armpits quite so much. Agree with spanglechick re. Freya and wide set straps. I have really narrow shoulders, but love the shape of the Deco so put up with strap slippage for certain t shirts. My everyday fave is the Juno by Cleo, really comfy and good 'Jane Austin' cleavage iykwim! I like Curvy Kate, because they're pretty. But my Portia fell apart and the one I have now is a bit pinchy. I need 'rounding' more than pushing forward. 30GG/H.

So the hanging pole thing in my wardrobe bowed in the middle, then finally collapsed. :D
I need to thin out my frocks, and 'someone' in the house has finally witnessed just how many I have  so you won't be seeing any new purchases from me for while.

Or at least not in the dress department ;)

I bought a new hairdryer this week, which has a diffuser. I've never known what to do with them before, so I've always chucked them out. Anyway, I have used it on my hair a few times and oh my god, talk about poufy hair! :D

Yeh if you have the hint of a natural curl (I do) it makes it really curly...the hairdresser can get my hair in ringlets...I am not that good :|

It's not curly, it's just BIG! It also cuts the drying time in half. I am impressed

Funny isn't it? I love Freya but I have Russian shot putter's shoulders :)

I used to be 34E. God knows what I am now....

The only way I can dry my hair with a hairdryer is with a diffuser, otherwise I'd look like an exploded mattress. I hang off the side of the bed and rest my hair in the cup of the diffuser, then barely move it. BIG hair.
