<snip>I've just realised that I may be subconsciously channelling Basil Brush as he appears to have become my style icon by mistake.
No, Basil Brush hijacked the Tardis, came forwards in time, and copied your current style.

I ordered a load of bras in Brastops sale and am now wearing a black and purple one that fits really well an is only £15. I might post a pic on the nekkid thread later.

The only other one that fir out of the lot was one I reserved that wasn't in the sale. It's a gorgeous teal colour with purple on the inside and I love it but its £30. I'm going to try it on again tomorrow and sit in it for a bit. I don't really need it but really want a bra that isn't black, white or nude for those occasions when a coloured bra step showing would be cool.

My parents got me these Rocket Dog boots for Christmas, although due to the rain and them being suede I have only worn them twice.

You can get spray on waterproofer for suede at most shoe shops, possibly in a pound shop but I've not looked there. Shame to have cool new boots and not be able to wear them :)

 I accidentally a pair of boots. They were £115 off though :D

I Just spent £45 at Body shop where stuff is cheap until midnight and the postage is free - I should be good for another year - perhaps two- my total toiletries stock will now be :-

satsuma shower gel - 8x 250ml
mango shower gel - 2 x 250ml
aloe vera roll-on - 9

I bought some hemp goo for my corky feet, and some hand goo which I will hopefully remember to apply before I start work on the bike.
Almost identical ingredients.
I used to find hand protector fixed my feet pretty well ...

Apologies to the postman at work, but the alternative was visiting Bristol's infamous "shopping mall" which holds no other attractions for me - unless my usual Holland and Barrett gets the chop - in which case I'll have to start buying my aloe vera gel and bread seeds elsewhere.

There may eventually be no need for me to ever go shopping in town.

beautiful. pretty much my perfect boot tbh, I'm massively jealous. And 100 quid is a good price for a pair of northampton made boots! not as cheap as the grensons I found on the bootmarket last year, mind (£2 ;))

I made the decision to send the £30 bra back. It was nice but purple isn't really my colour and it didn't put the side boob on the LHS away properly. If it was half the price it would have stayed, but for that price it needs to be exactly right. I will find another coloured bra that will work eventually.

Cheers hon.
My dad gave them a good spray with Nicwax sued waterproofer before I wore them but I am trying to keep them out the wet as much as possible.

Better luck next time. I do see your point about it needing to be right at that price, while a cheaper bra could be forgiven the odd fitting flaw.

£30 is pretty standard for a bra, isn't it? Certainly in my size.
Before I lost the weight I bought the same bra from bravissimo for almost 15 years and it was £23-£25. I knew it fitted and I knew it made my boobs look good.

Since losing the weight and losing a size I've had trouble finding bras but the ones I have found have all been under £20 in sales. £30 still feels expensive to me until I know I have one that I have washed and worn and it still makes me happy.

It might be standard for a really good bra, but most of mine have been £10-20 and they weren't the cheapest (or worst made) in my size, which has ranged from 34A to 42B, then back down to approx 38C/D.

Once you get over a D cup you pay more. Once you get over a GG more still. I'm an H and I think spanglechick is a bigger cup size. If I keep an eye on websites like brastop (thankyou sheothebudworths :D), I sometimes get cheaper. But for a bog standard non sale bra I'm looking £28-£35 ish.

I thought I'd got a really good deal on 3 curvy kate bra and pants sets and an extra white bra for £68 yesterday but now they've just emailed another 11% discount through.

Still can't complain at that price.

Fair enough.

Can I just say in passing that I'm fuming at the irony that a lot of bras in my current size are underwired and padded in a way which increases the apparent cupsize and yet, when I took an A cup, it was almost impossible to find anything which gave that effect.

Like for solidarity - had the same problem for years.

danski those boots are the sex

I got a navy, pleated mini skirt - which worn with a Breton shirt and silk neck scarf pushes the boundaries of fancy dress 'French' outfit :D - two wicked silk shirts, a chunky, mustard jumper (which looks the dog's with my tweed skirt) and a black tunic which I'm not sure about. Merino front, silk back but a bit shapeless. Will post a pic later for opinions!

 /splurge
