I bought a new jacket and a man-bag today in Go Outdoors.

This is the jacket, £95 reduced from £150 and lovely and cosy because of the down filling.

This is the bag - technically a laptop or courier bag but one I'll just use for transporting all my shit to work each day.

For some reason, the linings of both are lime green - I must have had a colour coordination thing going on in my head in the shop.

It's water-repellent so unless I go swimming in it, it should be fine. The down is hydrophobic too.

Typically, stuff to read on the commute if I'm bored of music; painkillers; food; flask of hot water to make a brew; tissues; etc. Nowt exciting sadly - and saves trying to either stuffing everything into my pockets or carrying a carrier bag.

Finally bought my winter coat. I've been trying to buy a new sensible long down coat in black for months as mine is falling apart. I finally just bought the coat I actually wanted. It was really cheap, so if I hate it by spring I can get a sensible one for next winter anyway.

Jeans on sale in All Saints. I'm not actually sure how I feel about the patchy coloured wash on these, but they fit very nicely and thanks to the trend for 'just floating around your ankle length' trousers they actually come out exactly right on me as full length trousers.

I really like the patchwork effect which surprises me as I'm normally quite a snob when it comes to effects on jeans.

I assumed it was a different bit of fabric sent together initially but it's all of one piece, washed so it has the darker bands in the middle.

Bought some nice, fancy underwear in the sale but they sent me the wrong things. Sent me a cup sixe larger than I usually wear but it fits Is by a brand I usually wear so I can't quite understand why the sizing should differ... They also sent me a thong when I ordered briefs. I haven't worn a thong for over a decade, I'm not going to start now.

I rang them up today and when I described the extra cup issue she knew exactly what brand I was talking about before I told her. She said that this brand's sizing can come up small so that is why it says it's bigger but it actually fits. She is sending me the right knickers straight away and refunding my postage and was also very lovely.
I love that shop.

Oh. I bought myself an awesome handbag in the sales too. It may not look like much but it feels amazing. I can't stop touching it and sticking my hand inside to stroke it's lovely innards.

I'm not spending any more money until at least February

After the stressful morning I had, me and my daughter went to toys r us and bought some stuff for her and her brother out of their xmas money and then my daughter convinced me to get myself something new too. So I did

Some over-the-knee riding boots in the Duo sale. I am excited because normally this style of boot is way too baggy on the calf and ankle. The reviews said they still came up big so I rang the helpline and spoke to a lovely girl who happened to have the same calf/leg measurements as me!
