Here are my real, actual nails in said polish.

That's two layers plus a clear top coat. That's after 24 hours of wear, no chips. And that's a bruised nail at the bottom of my middle fingernail where I dropped a digibeta on it. It really hurt.

Lovely. I'm utterly shit at nail polish. Even if I get it professionally done, it's ruined after about half an hour.

A 12, 32, 64, 94 or 124?

Thermal socks from Lidl and a black pair of heatgen plus leggings from M and S, which I'm rather pleased about as they're a size 16 and not threatening to burst at the seams.

Bought this at lunch (fig & rice milk y'know):

Lats time I bought body lotion it was just before gsv got his job. I'm in the habit of keeping two different body lotions for after I wash, one cheapass one, one more luxury one. But seeing as we were skint (get out your violins) I have existed on two cheapass lotions until for the last month and a half, but I figured I could treat myself to a fancy one now.

Doubtless variations of this coathanger mod are all over the Interweb, but I can't believe how long I put up with my tee shirts falling off the hangers - especially since I did something similar nearly 20 years ago to the bike lock I use every day.
I used self-amalgamating butyl tape - fine for black tee shirts, possibly not ideal for silk camisoles...

The Frye boots didn't work. My feet are too wide and they were either too big or too small despite the half sizing. So I took them back and got these DM biker boots. They fit me well and are really comfortable as softer leather. Plus they were quite a bit cheaper.

Do people hang t-shirts up?

I drip-dry them on hangers at home (they stay on fine when they're wet) and I have 10 better ones that are my work shirts - I take one in per day (folded) and always keep one extra one at work so any creases have 48 hours to work their way out.

I still have no new winter trousers - thanks to what I thought was the world's most inept carrier - that was until Royal Mail failed to deliver my M&S socks - "sent to the wrong depot" - well why not send it on to the right one instead of sending it back to M&S ?

At least that was what they told M&S - on the tracking thingy it said "gone away" ...

The mind boggles. OTOH I never fold VP's T shirts, because he's so damn fussy that he just refolds them if they're not done in the exact same way.
To be fair to my wife - there isn't really anywhere else to put the t-shirts (lack of drawer or shelf space). As for VPs folding behaviour, he probably spent too long in the services :D

I am so glad I bought the slippers I mentioned earlier in the thread - great for sliding your feet into after a chilly ride - luxury! I've been living in London too long and have become soft.

Mum bought me a gorgeous dress for my birthday in Gudrun Sjoden which, as I feared, didn't really suit me. So went in and swapped it for a dress and a top. It's the dress below, but in dark red, with the same print on a green top to layer underneath. Not as pretty as the dress my mum got, but probably more useful overall.

Help me savvy urban shoppers. After making a bit of an effort today, I felt 100x better and much more like 'me', so I have decided to tidy up my daily 'harried and milk stained mum' look a little.
Where can I buy nice printed tops, long or 3/4 sleeve and in stretchy fabric? I love some of the cool prints posted on here, but everything I can find is mumsy florals or horrid Jacques Vert style stuff....or isn't stretchy so useless for breastfeeding.
The breastfeeding combo that works for me is long sleeve jersey top or t shirt and cardigan- I have lots of cardigans but want some interesting patterned tops to go under them. My shopping skills are failing me...
