Thanks for that. :)

I appreciate the trouble you went to, but a lot of those are likely to be too long. For future reference, 50" or 127 cm more or less brushes the ground when 5'0 and in bare feet or flattish shoes or sandals. I don't know about you, but I prefer not to spent most of my summer in heels.

My maxidresses brush the ground too unless I wear heels and I'm 8 inches taller than you. It's pretty much a given.

Evans (you're probably smaller than that tho) do dresses which annoy me as they look maxi and then stop mid calf. I'm 5'7" ish (bit taller). dunno if that is any help.

I was optimistic enough to buy a maxi skirt and maxi dress there last summer by mail order. Both were "petite" length. Both are dangerously long. When I say they brush the floor, I really do mean brush the floor, instead of missing it by an eighth of an inch. Unless hitched up by 4 inches. IME 4" heels on size 5 feet are too bloody high for anything except being ornamental.

Oh you star.

I do really like this one, but might have a problem with the cups (and is pricey polyester) but pretty :)

I think one of these three could be a goer though, cotton and quite a bit cheaper :)

I've had a bit of a charity shop/ebay spree.
Harris Tweed jacket made by Old Town clothing in Holt, who's stuff I love
Lilith cropped baggy trousers
Lilith flared trousers
Jaeger (I know, granny wear) heavy cotton navy sailor pants
Cotton dress same as my friend bought new a month ago. I spotted mine in an Ilkley charity shop for a tenner. :D
Racing Green red cotton coat with fab red and white check lining

I'm going to have to put some stuff on eBay this week to pay for it all

It's come to something where I have to admit that after being my only footwear for nearly 15 years, I'm just completely unenthused about any of the trainers I see. :(

Have you had a look at the hi tec site?

I just got my husband a pair of Clarks, he's really excited! He says they're more comfy than his trainers.

Mr Yu's Clarks have special thick bouncy soles, they remind me a little bit of Sarkozy shoes. :D I got them direct from the factory, in a Clarks box and everything, for £15.

Clarks airwalk (or air something or other) are great for walking around all day in. And ur feet don't smell when sock-less. I was raised on Clarks and marmite on toast.

Calling short-arse ladies... have you seen any nice maxi dresses around recently? Or skirts? I quite want something long and flowy for summer, but can't find things short enough :(

Wallis had some nice maxi dresses when I was looking a few weeks ago.
I am also on the hunt for a nice short-arse maxi dress so I'll let you know what I spot.
