I went to Claire's Accessories on Tuesday in search of some small hair claws which they didn't have (nowhere has them, only the tiny ones now, very annoying as I use them all the time). What I came out with instead was
1. A bun ring. I thought the Mrs Pepperpot look wasn't for me probably but I might try one anyway, and I think I like it, more for doing a messy bun. And
2. Some spiral hairpins which I had some of YEARS ago and they're brilliant. They got discontinued and every time I googled them all I found was people saying how brilliant they are and how you can't get them anywhere now. They hold much better than ordinary hairpins and don't flatten the thing you're pinning them into.
I don't like the Claire's ones as much as the old ones I had, as they seem to get stuck coming out and you end up winding your hair round them, but they are still good. The hair emporium on Atlantic Rd has small hair claws.
More importantly, I got some of those spiral pins you mentioned and they are bloody marvellous so thanks for the heads up.
Unexpected dress purchase from Sainsburys when doing weekly office shop. £25, also comes in dark pink (it is cotton lace if you can't see it). The belt is blatantly going to turn into a piece of string, could do with a new belt anyway if I can find a nice fat bird one.
They also had bright red cropped denim jackets, although luckily they didn't have my size.

Dotty P's is just the BEST for dresses, isn't it. I can't think of anywhere that comes anywhere close.
That one looks a bit like the summer version of the tropical print one which Wufts and I both have, S&S. I think she's wearing it in the N London drinks thread pics actually.
You can put my shirt your basket any time bob *wink wink finger guns*
Anyway, I got this from DP's due to the sale and things
Yeah, that dress rocks. I think that Mentalchik bought it first, I saw it when she posted it on this thread and I had to copy

Don't think I'm going to wear it much for the foreseeable future though and I also bought a leopardprint dress around the same time, which I've never worn. My new job means that I'm probably going to shift into hyper-conservative mode when I start it. I think the bird dress (above) will be acceptable. Probably not the feather dress though
chikky has a lot to answer for
emptying the pockets of poor hapless urbs with your finds
In a word, no. And I'm 5'0", so usually even the petite length often ends up a few inches too long. Why on earth clothing retailers think that clothing made for 5'3" women will be short enough for real short-arses is beyond me.Calling short-arse ladies... have you seen any nice maxi dresses around recently? Or skirts?<snip>
I have a dream!!!!!!I want a lovely flowy floor length *looks out window* summer dress, which I don't have to adjust
