Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

Hey bob, while I have your attention should get this?

I just can't be bothered to find any that fit. And since I got into dresses I really can't be bothered to wear more than one proper item (not counting underwear or cardigan) at once.

yeah finding the right jeans is a fucker. and my weight fluctuates so the ones i like only fit some of the time

and YES re necklace :D

I got it because I am trying to be better at doing the causal clothes thing. I am always over dressed

Same here for the last few months. I find that dressing more casually makes me look younger.

To that end, here are two recent purchases:

I also got a t-shirt with two kissing flamingos on it. Birds and flowers on non-Laura-Ashely-style shapes seem to be in right now, which suits me fine.

The word for owl in Chinese is cat headed eagle, every time I try to find a cat necklace online I am overwhelmed with owl ones instead. But your owl is lovely regardless.

I just bought this Chinese padlock necklace which is meant to be good for luck and longevity, personally I just think it's cute. :)

That's hilarious! :D Want me to look on ASOS? They have free shipping to China you know.

I did find this. It's not cheap but super cute

I went to Claire's Accessories on Tuesday in search of some small hair claws which they didn't have (nowhere has them, only the tiny ones now, very annoying as I use them all the time). What I came out with instead was

1. A bun ring. I thought the Mrs Pepperpot look wasn't for me probably but I might try one anyway, and I think I like it, more for doing a messy bun. And
2. Some spiral hairpins which I had some of YEARS ago and they're brilliant. They got discontinued and every time I googled them all I found was people saying how brilliant they are and how you can't get them anywhere now. They hold much better than ordinary hairpins and don't flatten the thing you're pinning them into.

The tesco near me has small hair claws (if you don't mind shopping in tesco)

Aww that's cute! Thanks :) A lot of the ASOS stuff is made here and is sold online for pennies. I'll have another look.

Where are these mere pennies you speak? :hmm: Everything is expensive in Australia, that's why I get almost everything online  Stupid high standard of living and small population

Aww, it's a Chinese website, unfortunately you need a Chinese bank account and mobile number to use it, though I think you could maybe contact some of the sellers and ask them to ship it internationally. Here for example is a shop on the site which is selling stuff from Topshop/forever21/asos mostly for less than a pound (one yuan equals about 10p). I have considered setting myself up as an interface between the Chinese bit and the Western bit and making lots of money, but I dunno if I can be arsed.

Bugger. Thanks for that though :) . You could potentially make LOTS of money do that but it would take some time setting it up initially. Do you think you will get a shock at prices if you go back to the UK?
