I was going to say wtf is peplum and then I decided to google in case kanda catches me.

Are peplum skirts a major fashion thing just now? :hmm: They could work for me. Or rather they could have worked for me in one of my slimmer phases. by the time I'm back in a slimmer phase they'll be out of fashion, I expect.

Peplum skirts/dresses/jackets are reasonably popular. And I'm not slim and I like them but it depends on your body type more than anything. I have a squishy lower tummy area and a reasonably small bum for my size so it works for me.

I posted this picture a few pages back

I'm an upside down triangle with a lack of hips which is more noticeable the slimmer I am. But having a look round I'd dismiss 99.99% of them for other reasons anyway. I haven't the determination to go on a shopping trip trying on loads of them.

I bought a pair of long sleeve fingerless gloves(£2), they're purple and black stripes and they will be ACE in the winter :)

A relatively cheap shortie wetsuit. To reduce my excuses for not using the Lido.

I think peplums would suit you then. Because of where the frill is they give you the illusion of having more hips and looking proportional.

Agreed. They also give a bit more waist definition by making it more obvious where your waistline is.

Happened to be in Superdrug this morning so I bought gel eyeliner, volume express mascara and ten hour tint gloss in fuchsiA.. All Maybelline.

I am feeling less than inspired by clothes/shoe shopping at the moment because of the weather! There doesn't seem any point when all the clothes are summery it doesn't seem like the sun is ever going to come out! I'm still wearing tights, ffs.

You should worry, some days I'm still wearing thermals!! :D

I've bought these sandals to go with a dress I wanted to wear to a couple of weddings this year, butI'm not convinced they quite go with the dress.
I shall try to post a pic of the dress and shoes together later

Just bought a pair of green with black spots on, James Lakeland skinny jeans. Now I just need to get skinny :D

Photos Shirl!!

Jesus that'll teach me to go shopping without my specs  What I thought was a brand new pair of James Lakeland jeans for £6.99 from the Shelter shop turned out to be a pair of new River Island jeans  The manager of the shop knows me and she must have thought I'd gone a bit bonkers when I paid for them and said "what a bargain, they're a really good brand"
Anyway, I still like them. Sorry Gem, you've seen my attempts at posting pics, they usually fill about half a page

The red shoes are gorgeous and TINY. I don't think they can be a UK size 5. There's no way I'm going to have time to return them, so they're going on ebay - I might actually make a profit.

Quick trip to TKMaxx produced

White linen Jackpot baggy t shirt
Triumph spotty bra and knickers
Black, white and purple Edina Ronay leather tote bag
Small black patent leather Osprey shoulder bag
No pics cos I'm rubbish at posting them :)

I got a pair of glittery flip flops and a hat like the geek guy in the Teenage dirtbag video is wearing(both new) and a light grey Tuzzi wool skirt today from the charity shop for a grand total of £3.25 :)
I googled Tuzzi and it seems to be a german company. I seem to have a fair bit of german clothing now!

I bought a dress from Dorothy Perkin the other day: grey striped number, cotton, crossover box ticker.
Walking down the street some DICKHEAD told me it looked like a Millwall dress.
In fact I can't be sure he said Millwall, I was busy glaring. I probably shouldn't wear stripes anyway :(

Now I've got nothing to wear until the weather changes.
