LOL, it's only a dress ;)

I've only come up trumps with one M&S dress, and it's a great dress. Don't think I've got much else from there apart from nickers and pyjamas. Keep trying stuff on though.

I have a grey shift dress from their capsule wardrobe they did a few months ago. It's nice.

but think it might look naff with boobs:hmm:

I ordered this today,it's now 2 items that I have bought just from folk posting on this thread...:)

My foot is broken and in a cast so I need to wear dresses for a bit and this one may just be my xmas day ensemble.

I hope they fit. 1p delivery at M&S so worked out cheaper than going to a store to try them on (especially as Angel don't have them in so have already wasted £2).

These arrived in the post today but are too big. Sending them back for a 4.5 which they now have in stock. They really are lovely and a bargain too.

it's perfect for you! (milly molly is tall and very hourglassy with flame-red hair).

You would wear it to bars and restaurants and parties.

I don't go to any of those things (but thank you very much for the compliments!!), could I wear it sitting on the sofa watching Friends? Oh sod it. I'm ordering it. EEEEK!

It's a beautiful dress milly molly. I saw it on the TV too and thought 'wow'.

Then I opened up the internet and showed it to my BF just in case he was short on ideas for xmas...:D

you go to bars!

and have a word with the boy and make him take you out to dinner in it. plus - have remembered you have matching shoes!

I've ordered it. I cleverly fooled myself into thinking I was actually Christmas shopping by adding a scarf and some jewellery for my step nephew and niece to the order.:D

That's the way I xmas shop - 2 for them, one for me :D

This isn't very exciting but just to let people know that M&S do 3 pairs of 60 dernier tights for £8 in multi colours - brown black and airforce blue which is quite good.

And their kingfisher (teal) tights are the bollocks and only £4

That's very generous. I do one for them, three for me

I tried that leopard print shift dress on and it didn't look quite right on me, but I think it would look great on milly molly. :)

I bought a spotty pencil dress with a fantastic frilly bit at the bottom, so it frills about when you move, I like it but it doesn't fit very well. I really like it but I know that keeping it will make me hate it.
There's another dress, a very very yellow one. It's a nice dress but it's an occasion dress and I don't have many occasions that call for such a dress... It fits quite well, especially round the tits but I don't know if it suits me. I did text a picture to a friend for an opinion (i am very very bored today). I'll see if I can get pics o here and then ask urban.
I'm very bored

Got a good pair of combat trousers at the charity shop for £4.
Not branded ones as far as I can tell but feel pretty solid and no wear on them.

2 pairs of jeans - first is size 10, blue, straight leg jeans from New Look, which are a weeeeee bit on the tight side  but I bought em anyway, cos I'm desperate to be a size 10

2nd pair is a pair of size 10 Dotty P, black skinny jeans. see above re size comment

also bought a purple "boyfriend cardi" in New Look

oh and from the NExt Clearance Store, a stripey purple, orange and red woolly cardy (I think it's nicer than it sounds) a grey dress for work, which is a bit big and a yellow top thing which is a bit small (ummm, bought a size 6 by accident)

can't try on clothes in the Clearance Store, and they didnt' have any in the right size when I went to exchange. dammit! still have kept them both despite the fact they are 3 sizes different from each other :D

I have seemingly been on a bit of a spending spree but I'm not really satisfied with any of my purchases :(

I really need a dress for New Year. I've lost some weight recently and want to look fabulous and wear a lovely dress which show off how fab I feel....

I like the look of this but at almost a hundred quid it's a bit out of my budget (I'm thinking £40, max)....

any suggestions?

ok - since everything i've bought lately has been met with a resounding silence, i reckon it's safe to say i've lost my shopping mojo.

could this half price number be a return to form?

obviously i'm going for the joan holloway vibe. albeit shorter and wider...

That looks great.

The attempt to replenish/brighten up my meagre wardrobe is having mixed success.
The shoes came and are lovely:

Got this with quimmy's Monsoon discount - not only is it a colour, it has a pattern on it, hurray!

On the other hand I ordered a ton of stuff from Dorothy P to try on and it is all going back apart from two identical very plain green long sleeved t-shirts, due to a combination of nasty fabric, poor cut and just plain unsuitability.

Also with the Monsoon discount I got this, although I wasn't sure about it, on the grounds that the discount was about to run out and I could always take it back but I wouldn't get the discount again.

It's nicer on the bod than on the page, less A line and more pencilly. I do like it but (a) it was still pretty expensive even with the discount and (b) it is basically a going out skirt, and is black, and one thing I do have is two black going out skirts, so how much mileage would I get from it? Can't decide whether to keep it or take it back.

This waist belt (sorry for the shit pic, it's not on the website, but it's got a shimmery silvery-black bit either side of the buckle, then black elasticated back):

Got a lovely necklace which is a silver leaf, with the silver forming all the capillaries or whatever to make a very fine mesh, on a long chain, really delicate and lovely. Also got a pair of very big dangly silver disc earrings.

eta: here's the necklace: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Accessorize-D...ewItemQQimsxq20091126?IMSfp=TL091126155001r57

I'm loving mine. They're a little long for me but I just buy size seven and pretend they fit.:D
I'm wearing them all the time as they're so comfy and none of my other shoes are rainproof.

hee hee...if website had not got smaller sizes in stock I would have seriously considered putting up with them being a little big. Before I checked I was already thinking insoles?

I bought a very very bright, flowery top from Coast today.
I've ordered a few things from Boden too and I'm hoping the coat fits but it probably won't. fingers crossed.

I can't find any nice day dresses at the moment. I looked in Monsoon and in Coast where I saw one nice black one which was just a few inches too short. The I gave up because I couldn't be arsed. Ho hum.

Oh yes, I got some nice earrings too. I hardly ever wear jewellery so are a bit of a novelty to me at the moment

idioteque, where is that dress from? It's lovely. What sort of material is it?

I've recently bought: a red coat, double breasted with black buttons and belted. Have wanted a red coat for years but only just managed to find one I liked. It's from Mango Outlet store so no link.

Black boots: slouchy with bows on, love them, but wore them in the rain today and my feet and socks got soaked.

Black beret from M and S.

Nice winter clothes are helping with the misery of winter.

It's from Asos, here it is: Mango dress

It's viscose, but surprisingly flattering. It hides my belly rather well.
