It were cold, wet and grey. It took hours to get there, ours to get home and we lost. "Top team of the day" from a pool supporter. This was probably the most miserable match I have attended and it's coming back to haunt me.

1978 was a year for me n Palace. I cant pin down the squad for the match in question but was certainly on first name terms with at least half a dozen of the squad.
If anyone finds the team for the Pool match please let me know. I have not Rothmans Football year book for this year
