Chavez tells Blair to "Go right to hell"

so.
fucking.
what?
E2A: if you REALLY believe that castro is in the same league of evil as either
Saddam or Assad, then you really don't know enough about either cuba or Iraq (or Syria) to sustain an argument. they are NOT comparable. castro was brought to power by a VERY popular revolution. he is STILL popular today. rpression in cuba - tho' real - is small beer compared to, well, MOST m/east regimes. not just saddam's, but also the KSA for that matter.

So if repression is real, but not as extreme as in Saddam's Iraq, it is therefore acceptable?

So, how is the word used in relation to Salman Rushdie?

That would be the religious decree by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that Salman Rushdie should be executed for his authorship of the Satanic Verses. Kinda reminds me of the Christian Republican hate preacher Pat Robinson who called for the assassination of Chavez because he is "going to make Venezuela a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism all over the continent".

Neither declarations represent the norm in Christianity or Islam of course but it seems that rogue yam was attempting to side step his responsibility to back up his claim that AI are a front for advocates of "socialistic world government" (I wish they were but sadly they are not) with some mindless and irrelevant Islamophobia.

Is there a special word for it in christian scripture for when Pat Robertson calls for the death of Chavez, as there was in similar circumstances re: Khomeni and Rushdie?

If I were a christian I would call it a "sin", specificially the sins of pride and hypocracy.

I believe some extremists justified Robertson's outburst by using the Catholic doctrine of Just War.

But to be fair to Robertson he's not the only crackpot who uses religion to justify killing. I seem to remember another Republican evangelical of a higher rank asserting that god told him to invade Iraq. His name temporarily escapes me....

I don't think so, but I think this bible passage ( Luke 9:54 ..; ) has something to say about that:

When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, 'Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?'
But Jesus turned and rebuked them, and he said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of, for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."

:D

no one did, you stupid little boy. i suggest you come up with hard and fast facts RIGHT NOW, or you will have a sizeable problem on your hands. grow up.

Repetition Alert....Repetition Alert....

this is a similar insult that RY made to me a few weeks ago when I called him on some facts. That time he said 'who died and made you Castro'. Obviously he's been reprogrammed with another insult.

Don't hold your breath waitiing for evidence or facts from yammie though.

Yes, Blair said it was important, “that the government of Venezuela realise that if they want to be respected members of the international community they should abide by the rules of the international community.” Venezuela’s alliance with Cuba would be better if Cuba was, “a properly functioning democracy,” Blair also said. What a cock.

Chavez responded saying, “you don’t have the morality to go telling me anything, you who disrespects international law and the sovereignty of the people of Iraq.” Blair’s comments were, “the opening of the European front,” of Washington’s effort to isolate Venezuela internationally, said Chavez. 100% correct im my view.

I also agree with Chavez re his comments on international law. By rights Blair should be dangling on the end of a rope in Wandsworth or Pentonville for what he has done.

Chavez also said

“Don’t be shameless, Mr. Blair. Don’t be immoral, Mr. Blair, that you are one of those who have no morals. You are not one that has the right to criticize anyone about the rules of the international community”…You are an “imperialist pawn” who attempts to curry favor with “Danger Bush-Hitler, the number one mass murderer and assassin there is on the planet.”

“Go straight to hell, Mr. Blair,”

:D too good... too dam good

Indeed, it's the only joy we can get. Coz we'll never get the real joy of real justice of seeing blair behind bars.

Tis why chavez is so wonderful to read. If more of them shoved their head above the parapet of sucking up all the coporate dollars of bush and blair's nations' multinationals...
