Barbara Ellen on "female on male" violence

It's stomach churning to read, just how bad women are treated, there is no getting away from it. That most women have to have to endure this sort of crap and it just not good enough and shouldn't be tolerated. These men's right groups seem to be full of balloons and have very misconstrued ideas about equality. We can only hope that, their not all as bad as your man in the article. I pretty much doubt that 'they' have any concerns for genuine civil liberties.

The best way to measure a progressive society is by the level of female emancipation.

This seems to be a very interesting document on the subject.

THE WAY FORWARD TOWARDS THE EMANCIPATION OF WOMEN

And that has precisely what to do with your opening post?

Sweet fuck-all!

Perhaps these figure show that the problem goes beyond general misogyny, that some men show lack of respect from themselves, let along respect for life itself!!! This is what tends to happen during times of social and cultural deprivation.

Nobody is saying that men aren't victims of domestic violence. In fact, I'd say the subject gets far more coverage proportionately because every single time violence against women is discussed someone always pipes up bleating 'what about teh menz'

Two women a week are murdered by their partners. Murdered. And that statistic doesn't take into account the hundreds of thousands of women living in fear as a result of physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse.

Bit of perspective required please.

Don't be so fucking stupid. Male victims of domestic violence are hardly talked about or even acknowledged. It often takes high profile cases like this or Caroline Flack for it to be even considered an issue, it must be really annoying when these cases come about as it shows up your idea that women are always victims to be the bullshit that it is.

You say "what about the menz?", ah right as when issues affecting men are brought up feminists and women NEVER try and turn the conversation around to how hard it is for women. The fact you use this phrase exposes you, issues affecting men are not be brushed aside by the stupid phrase. Then you pull out the bullshit "Two women a week are murdered by their partners", between April 2018 and March 2019 statistic show that 80 women were murdered by their partners which is not two every week as you claim, yes it's far too many but not as high as you claim. I guess it's another feminist 'fact' like the wage gap.

No you aren't saying men can't be victims of domestic violence but you don't care that they are. Just diverting the subject to female victims is just another way male victims are brushed aside and ignored, plus we can only talk about the men who do actually report such incidents, it's very likely that more men are victims than the statistics suggest as many men don't report due to attitudes like yours causing these men to suffer in silence.

There was an interesting experiment where two actors were shown performing acts of domestic violence, when the man was attacking the woman lots of people jumped in to admonish the male and to protect the female. When the roles were reversed you could see both men and women watching while laughing and you wonder why men don't report incidents.

In fact if the Jay-Z episode wasn't caught on a CCTV camera there's a chance that nobody would even know about this and Jay-Z didn't report anything, probably due to attitudes like yours.

You know you're replying to a post from 2014, right?

So it's pretty fucking stupid saying Glitter's being pretty fucking stupid

"I have to tell you that you're a fucking cunt. I hope one day your partner sticks a fucking knife in your neck. It might make you take female violence more seriously."

This isn't the best way to join urban.
yeah, got that and pondered on the best way to respond. Leaving it a little while to see what would inevitably follow seemed the most interesting option and so it proved.
