Assange is Missing?

Just thought I would point out that since wikileaks has become increasingly influential on politics there is an ominous silence from Assange. It really wouldn't be surprising if the US gov had decided to take action.
There were some entertaining replies but not much opinion...
Call me a conspiracy nutter if you like but most of the thread on Reddit I posted has plenty of strong evidence.
The spitfire article is backed by up plenty of credible sources. The Family cult is well known and Assange freely admits to being associated.
If you don't believe that powerful agents conspire to retain their privileged position and push through their programmes then you are really quite naive. Just because they have been bundled in with UFOs and Satanists doesnt mean all conspiracies are fantasy.
I certainly dont trust any governments and believe they are capable of horrendous acts in order to further their agenda.
Surely exposing the corruption and secrets of The Establishment is a worthy project?
I am not sure what to make of wikileaks so was canvassing for other peoples verdicts but the thread descended into personal judgment.
Such a welcoming bunch.

What is the evidence?

Surely silence from Assange could mean all sorts of things? How can we jump to any conclusions just because he hasn't made a tweet or looked out of the window for a bit? Maybe he is milking this rumour to ramp up sympathy for his cause or due to a bit of a temper-tantrum/panic after having his internet cut off by the Ecuadorian Embassy? Maybe he has a cold? Why should we conclude he has been somehow secretly kidnapped from central London - a suggestion that if you think realistically about the logistics, laws, politics and diplomatic issues involved just becomes extremely improbable and without precedent. If the US or UK do manage to get him out of the embassy it would be far more likely be via doing some secret deal with Ecuador who would then 'uninvite' him and push him out the front door, where he would be arrested by the police for his breach of bail conditions etc. and sent to Sweden.

Granted the evidence is largely circumstantial but it does pile up and look suspicious to me when coupled with the influence which wikileaks exerted during the US elections.
I did consider it could be a PR stunt of some sort...
Perhaps a distraction from Trump transition.
And yep I specultate too much....but I find it interesting to entertain all possibilities.

perhaps you should speculate on probabilities first?

what do you think is the probability that if UK or US them had ninja'd him out of the embassy, the Equadorians might have mentioned it?

what do you think is the probability that as the the Equadorians find themselves having to deal with a new, much more beligerant, much less predictable, much more likely to throw his toys out of the pram and stamp his very large, very powerful feet neighbour, they have told Assange in no uncertain terms to shut his hole and keep his head down if he wishes to remain a houseguest?

What is the evidence?

It's like me hiding my hand behind my back and saying "my hand has been kidnapped by a secret government snatch squad" because I can't see it.

Not quite but you obviously want to paint it as an absurd possibility with such an anology. Nice spin.

I've just gone and read your Reddit thread that you said has a load of 'evidence' on it. Seems like quite a few well-known and respected people connected with Assange have actually said they have been in and seen him and/or otherwise been in communication with him.

Feel free to summarise what you think your 'evidence' amounts to.

Including his lawyers.

from Craig Murray's blog today:

Just got back after a long chat with Julian Assange. We were joined for a light supper by the ever interesting and ebullient Yanis Varoufakis. Another of those brilliant evenings that will live in the mind.

Julian is very aware of the persistent rumours about his position or health. He is fine apart from a cold, and buoyed by recent events.

This is the same Craig Murray who witnessed swat teams entering the embassy to take him out a few years back. Yeah, he's def reliable.
