Anti austerity march...urb meet up?

albionism

A successful virus clinging to a speck of mud.
Who's going? Shall we perhaps arrange to meet up/look after each other on the day? Thoughts?

I'm not going, but if people want to meet up I would suggest somewhere far away and go there together, there is no chance of finding each other otherwise (if it's going to be as big as they say).

Good point.

PM sent, although the march will be too much for VP and I won't be able to be there either, although we'll be in central London that afternoon.

I have work so will only be there for the end. Shame, as it sounds the most potentially interesting demo in years

cynicism brogdale! fie and etc. I hope its big and people get to talk, organise and blow off steam and all that. Can't go myself as I didn't see if there was a union coach going and get a spare seat for free. I'm not cheap, its just the wrong portion of the month.

Don't get me wrong, I wish everyone well tomorrow...and I am quite narked that other commitments prevent me from going.
I hope that our young friends in the block enjoy their day and stay free.

There's a Brixton Urb meet up at 11am, Windrush Square. There's a thread somewhere but I can't find it.

Happy marching!

Not sure why it is Meh. Lots of people have arranged to go with their mates outside Urban and there are places for those that want to meet up with Urbs arranged.... albeit not many.... but there will be a load of Urbs there and I am sure that there will be loads of updates here when people know what they are doing. We are not a very organised lot TBH! We never have been. :)

In..... But fucked if I'm sharing deets on a public forum.

I'll be wearing black t-shirt, black jeans, black trainers. See y'all there.

And remember - a million people marching peacefully achieved shit-all, so let's make it an uber-peaceful non-event tomorrow.

Wink.

This, and keep an eye out for Met Police stooges vandalising war memorials with foul mouthed spray painting art

It's got really unclear aims (though I think I support 'anti-austerity') so I think I'll be there. I've asked the organisers what their aims are. They replied with 'no austerity'. Not sure what they mean specifically.

I look pretty average but, as said earlier, won't be on the march anyway. :(

Solidarity with those of you who are there tomorrow.

Tell me what that means.

It means...if you have no idea why the march has been organised I am confused as to why would you think about going?

On top of that you say you didn't like the organiser's response to your question and I am left with the same question of you...why are you interested in going on this march?

No, I know why it's been organised. What is the aim?

Because I agree with the slogan.

Probably, just as a starting point, no spending/funding cuts for cuts' sake.

If this is the aim, even the Tories agree. So pointless. Can we not be clearer about our aims?
