911cultists--your card is marked, big-time

Larry O'Hara said:
this gets to the heart of it--the 'Truth Movement' does not encourage critical thought, but the repetition of mantras. On Saturday, when I was giving the leaflet out at the BookFair, I met an intelligent young woman who came up with the mantras--she was amazed I had (often common sense) answers to them. Her parting words were, 'Thankyou for helping me to think about the issues, I hadn't done so before'. The point of the genuinely critical (9/11 debunking) sites, is they encourage everybody to look at both sides--the 911uk site does not, or even pretend to. I will be adding a couple more excellent US sites to our links list later.
Well, there's a <spam> 'critic's corner' forum on the nineeleven boards. There are no plans for any 'conspiracy forum' here on urban75, which is a shame.

After some of the disgusting personal attacks and slurs on my personal life I've had to endure from cowardly conspiraloons recently, that's never going to happen either.

Oh, and please stop spammng that site please.

That's fascinating you said that, because I heard those exact words in a film the other day - 'Children of Men' - they were spoken by the ultra-fascist guard as he was selecting immigrants for execution.

why the emphasis? it almost looks like you are comparing the editor to this ultra fascist guard you mentioned.

I think you have failed to grasp the point of the quote which is that the campaign is a broad church (for want of a better euphemism) of those who doubt the official story.

if your "broad church" includes the like of David Icke, it's got a problem. I'll stay clear of it, thanks very much.

Oh, and Popular Mechanics seems to sum up the futility of attempting rational debate with conspiraloons pretty admirably:

that is fantastic and sums up exactly my position. I don't believe much of what i'm told by any government, but I believe it more than the bullshit peddled by Jazz et al. Which is a sorry state of affairs, when you think about it :(

Yep. It's an excellent article. I liked this bit:
A common refrain in conspiracy circles is the claim that “We’re just asking questions.”

One would think that at least some quarters of the conspiracy movement might welcome a mainstream publication’s serious, nonideological attempt to answer those questions. One would be wrong.
And the conspiraloons reaction:
In a few short weeks, Popular Mechanics had gone from being a 100-year-old journal about science, engineering, car maintenance, and home improvement to being a pivotal player in a global conspiracy on a par with Nazi Germany

Godwin's law by post #42 - nice one :D

Yes, and what a pisspoor, ill-conceived piece of quasi-political claptrap that was.

Seriously, Jazz, if you're resorting to calling on silly little dystopian movies to back yourself up, it's time to move on :D

No idea what you're on about, but I like the cut of the jib of his namesake: Moderating a church? k3w1.

oh sorry here http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=William_Christison

Former CIA Director, Office of Regional and Political Analysis, former member of the VIPS Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity along with Raymond McGovern etc but quit and has begun to give credence to 9/11 turth tales...

now mostly works on the palestine issue...

I don't want you to believe me. I want you to think for yourself. When you do that, you stop looking for someone to 'believe'.

May as well join st*rmfr*nt, in fact their anti-semitic attitudes are rather less pronounced.

Just yet more bullshit webpages dealing with the influence of Israel on world events and doubts about the reality of the Holocaust.

(In a disclaimer, Rense.com notes that inclusion of an article on his site does not constitute endorsement.)

In one piece, titled “Auschwitz—Myths & Facts,” the reader is informed that “Auschwitz was not an extermination center and that the story of mass killings in ‘gas chambers’ is a myth.”

Jazzz - you have my pity, whether you want it or not.

There's a permanent exhibition about the Holocaust at the Imperial War Museum, Kennington, in case anyone needs a refresher.

Old news I'm afraid. And he's certainly very much a 'former' CIA official seeing as he hasn't worked for them for way over a quarter of a century. He retired way back in 1979.

Oh the irony! :D

Well the official 9/11 story is obviously a sack of shite, IMHO. But the Truth Campaign is just that, a campaign for another investigation so we can determine the truth.
Bollocks, the only "truth" you and all the other conspiraloons would accept is the one you want to hear.

it was literally just days after the thing took place that I heard people claiming 'the jews did it' even before they had managed to suss out a convenient conspiracy theory. same with the 7/7 thing :(

And was it minutes or hours before the american establishment managed to work out it was all the work of OBL and his crew?

In fact i think they were telling us that before bush had even left the school...

I rarely agree with pk, but from his post, he knows the important bit.

Shayler is a liar, a charlatan and a fucking tout. How anybody can even begin to trust that excuse for a human being just because he spent a few weeks in an open prison, I'll never know.

Can you perhaps take us beyond your own opinions and help explain how you know he's all those things?

You need a mirror mate...

so he can see the fuzzy edges on the holograms??:D. While we're at it, the content of the web-site has not been answered by 9/11 cultists save to claim NFB is working for (variously) MI5, MI6, the CIA, and/or Fox News. In addition to inventing quotes from the site. Might I suggest New slogan for 9/11 Truth Campaign...

IGNORE THE EVIDENCE!! IGNORE THE EVIDENCE!! IGNORE THE EVIDENCE!! etc.

Have you got any evidence for anything?

I might remind you that evidence is normally something that is decided in a court of law, or via science.

I trust you're not claiming to have any?

There is plenty of evidence about the events of 911. For example no planes went up in response to the knowledge that there were four planes that had potentially been hijacked.

WTC7 was 'pulled', as described by its owner, and at that it was done fucking hours later.

Loads of cctv footage that has been withheld from public consumption relating to the pentagon crash.

Bush was told of the first impact, yet was allowed and chose to continue listening to children's stories. Obviously his safety was not important...

Cultists eh? They belong to every possible side to all things. Anybody claiming that 'this' or 'that' happened is a cultist. Beware you are not falling into your own trap mate.

Yeah, I've always thought Jazzz is fairly arrogant.

According to the mirror theory that makes you (fairly) arrogant.

I've in fact thought jazzz to be a most human human. Nowhere near what we might call 'arrogant'. He is a thinking man's man, and kudos to him. He displays far more humanity on urban than just about every single one of his detractors. No, all of them on second thoughts.

All of the second post is presumably the result of 'science' or has been proved in a court of law? Yes?
