90s techno thread

Can't work out if a diss...

Not at all! Just sounded like the stuff that would play for hours in Goa. We went hoping for house and good times and we got that for hours on end. I like it but I need a piano or vocal break once in a while. Got to get your hands in the air at some point in the evening like.
 
... and this Subhead tribute mix from Signals in Southwark is amazing:

I like a lot of techno, but you listen to some Subhead and realise how 99% of other techno is just plowing quite a narrow well-worn furrow when it has the potential to be way more mental.

Definitely, they were kings of experimental techno, long before the hype machine got on this so-called experimental UK bass techno or whatever. Which I like to be fair. But these guys did it first! and Si Begg.
