2020 PDC World Darts Championship

Kudos to Fallon Sherrock. A couple of days ago she was first female dart player to win a match in the PDC World Darts Championship, and now she's into the 3rd round after beating Mensur Suljović tonight. Brilliant match.

Brilliant. I saw the first half of the match and watched the second half of text. A comfortable 3-1 win. Good for her.

I'm baffled why there's a darts' gender gap.

I cannot see why men should have any inherent advantage; all the factors which a top darts player needs (coolness under pressure, eyesight, posture, grip, co-ordination, strategy, mental arithmetic, etc.) women are just as good at as men.

Is it simply down to The Patriarchy?

Agreed. I think the same could also be said about snooker. Definitely two sports where the separate men and women competitions will eventually be phased out.

Is it down to time honoured things like darts was played in boozers and boozers were more of a blokes place?
