Rendering yourself politically useless is a great move. Not even sincere is it, its just a hopeless attempt to try and retain current polling share and avoid it being seen as labour v tory (it is though), which can and will be thrown back at them if they end up in a coalition/supply and confidence. The 300+ seats thing is pure fantasy, sure, but the coalition of the centre is what they want/hope for/expect I think.
