Just having a small brandy, not my usual tipple but I'm off out later to try some chocoholic stout at the Trades club.

Not really. I notice it most of an evening when transitioning from stressed commuting to being officially relaxed, something which I used to formalise by getting incapable with brutally efficient speed. And at work events a similar transition from meeting mode to pretend relaxation mode is marked with trays of booze, and opting out of the ritual seems odd. But it's not that it's tricky, just that it isn't as distant a memory as smoking is, where I don't notice any of the former cues at all.

Yeh, I find the mid-week non-drinking is really quite easy to manage - get loads of reading done, sleep well, and it's lovely to wake up without a hangover

Fridays, though, and weekends - and when I have mates round...nother story

I've never really had the work/drinking thing

Cava gives my solitary binge drinking a festive glow. I recently paid my self assessment tax, so £7 is my top limit for a bottle.

Fuck, yeah! My review is on the site It is my favourite festival ever- a small lovely non-commercial event-rather go to it than any number of glastonburys-cheap, friendly, small, diverse-and just wonderful A festie where the line-up does not matter but will still be great
