ooh, have you got a recipe for coconut dhal?

We've got kheema matar tonight, probably with naans, because I doubt I'll have the energy to make chapatis tonight.

Tomorrow with be the same with sag aloo or dahl :D

Will look this out as well - it's a Rick Stein recipe and rather nice though not as coconutty as I would have liked tbh :)

After many month absence, my desire to cook has returned! It is a cause for celebration! Doing a proper curry, roasting spices etc.

my tea was 30mls of strawberry flavoured calogen, mixed with 1 sachet of scandishake and 200 mls of whole milk. it was less than delicious tbh :(

Spicy puy lentils and butternut squash with veggie Glamorgan sausages and peas. Daughter number one announced it was my best effort in weeks.

Dunno about tonight. Too hot.

I was gonna make a Tuscan bean and tomato soup but I can't be fucked going getting some courgette as it's LASHING it down here

So - it's either chips n egg n mushy peas, or something the daughter picks up at tesco later

The remains of Sunday's roast chicken with couscous.
I'm going to put courgette, french beans, runner beans, broad beans, peas and mint in the couscous - all home grown

I dont usually post on this thread but tonight I am making a traditional roast dinner for my nepali friends.

I'm doing lamb with rosemary and since they've never tried lamb with mint I'm making a separate mint sauce, that way if they don't like it they can have the lamb without mint. Sage and onion stuffing, yorkshires, carrots roasted with sesame seeds in a maple syrup and soy sauce glaze, steamed broccoli and green beans and the best bit - roasted baby new potatoes.

I couldn't think what to make for desert so I went for scones with clotted cream and jam to carry on the english theme.

I'm so tired and dehydrated and stressed but I'm still really looking forward to it :)

I had cold noodle soup. it was blue-green and gritty. The soup base was made of some kind of bean. A green been I'd guess. Maybe a soya bean.

It was pretty horrible tbh. :D

You too innit? I can't lay off the risottos since broad beans and courgette flowers came back into season.

After yesterday's stroganoff and saute potatoes it's a rare two days in a row for the spud in our gaff. Tonight its new potatoes, possibly roasted with green garlic, with a hefty chicken & mushroom pie from the lovely Baker's Treat. Courgettes again unsurprisingly

Pasta with creme fraiche, lemon, soya beans and white crab meat. Was trying a new recipe and it wasn't too bad, a very subtle flavour but well suited to summertime :)

farfalle pasta, cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, olive oil, along with a few finely chopped mushrooms, touch of garlic and a cheeky bit of steamed shredded spinach.

and i put some black pepper on mine cos was feeling reckless.

absolutely tremendously tasty
