sheo - how come when you quoted me, there was a youtube link? :confused:

And when I tried to quote that post, half of the quote thingy was missing - weird!

Oh - that was the link I posted earlier (the song from son's do at school) - so maybe I pasted it back in by mistake? :hmm:

Dunno about the missing bit though!

It'll be some variant of spag bol tonight. Might chuck in a splosh of red wine. Fuctifino. Oh, and more of that Cabernet Merlot too, mmm.

Ribeye steak with pate; fine beans with chilli mayonnaise. Crusty rolls. Bottle of Chateau-neuf-de-Pape.

Ended up mixing 2 dessert spoons of mayonnaise with a couple of generous squirts of Piri piri sauce, making some runner bean pagoda thingies and putting the sauce in the square gap in the middle of the pagoda thingies. Worked really well, and I was quite proud. Steak done perfectly, too.

I don't know :eek::eek:

We are out in London and are not sure whether we will just have a liquid meal followed by KFC or gp home for a takeaway pizza or Fish & Chips. Whatever it is it will be blessedly unhealthy :D

i've had a run of a couple of good days, with clear plates all round and no bitching :)

yesterday was homemade smoked haddock fishcakes and tartare sauce (my 3yo is a right weirdo, in all seriousness she asked for a gherkin and caper sandwich the other day :confused:)
today was frozen fish w/potato wedges, mushy peas and corn on the cob, with mojitos for starters (for those over 4 ft tall)
tomorrow is a red letter day cos i'm not cooking and we're having a meal out, a once-every-6-months kind of event :cool:

Rice massacre!

More broad beans tonight, with creme fraiche, bacon and pasta. Obligatory herb sprinkling from the balconies too - mint and (opal) basil I reckon.

Baked Haddock Fillet, creamed spinach and a pouch of Merchant Gournet Puy lentils and procini mushrooms which was gorgeous. Will definitely be buying that again!

Garlic and ginger king prawn and salad wraps. Found a couple of syrup sponge puddings in the freezer yesterday, so we had those with ice cream for pudding in the end - so nectarines today!

Roast beef dinner and rhubarb crumble for pudding. It was foggy and miserable when I decided to do a roast and now it's bloody sunny and gorgeous!

Roast Pork Belly with cider gravy, roast potaoes, carrots and caramalised onions. All of which, with the exception of the carrots and gravy are currently cooking!

i have some cheese that needs finishing off, so my starter is going to be fried haloumi and then i'm making a cheese sauce out of blue goat's cheese to which i shall add pasta
