What's for tea tonight? (pt7)

tonight wasn't so much a meal as a fridge raid :oops: too hot to cook again, too knackered to too, so it was minibread rolls (left over from yesterdays BBQ), with tuna, sweetcorn & spring onion mayo :cool: with strawberries and lindt milk chocolate for pudding :)

I really enjoyed it :) more so that the spring onions were off the plot and they were lush!
 
I had an aberdeen angus burger with (in order.....from top, down :D :rolleyes: ) BUN, mustard, moody cheese slice, sliced tomatoes, ketchup, BURGER, garden lettuce, mayo, BUN. :cool:
 
I made gooseberry fool in the end. It was lush but now I feel sick (and I didn't tell anyone I caught the kitten eating it :hmm:)
 
what is fake cheese?

i had to throw my roquefort out cos my flatmate pilfered some and left it out. the cat's probably been at it, so in the bin it went :(

Oooh - I've got some homemade lemonade brewing too - with some redcurrants in (just cos I needed to pick them and couldn't be arsed with being all picky about getting them off their stalks and then freezing them blah, blah, blah :p )! :cool:

Should be ready for tomorrow (got my bezzer and her gf round for a PEA PARTY :cool: ( :oops: ) :D )!
 
It's PEA NIGHT!!!! :cool:

Bezzer and her gf are coming over for a bbq - jerk chicken thighs and probably some sausages and french bread - and we're going to pick all of the rest of the peas (there's tons :hmm: ) and have those, too (my bezzer planted them and peas are her fave and she hasn't had any yet).

I'm a bit worried that they're past their best actually :facepalm: but hopefully they'll still be decent enough.

I was going to do a pea themed meal (pea bhajis, pea hummus etc) but she suggested meat (she is an 'ethical eater' which in real terms means that she eats vegan food 95% of the time but will occasionally scoff a bit of organic etc meat so as not to waste it :D )

Got the lemonandredcurrantade I made yesterday, too. :cool:
