it was a success

excellent!

i don't know what i'm having tonite. i have a leftover beef & bean burrito in the fridge but that won't be enough. i do have a frozen meatloaf and mash entree in the freezer that i could add.

maybe i'll just get a pizza and douse it with red chili seeds

I had a salmon/mushroom/brocolli/crabstix :D /spring onion/noodle soup, with loads of coriander.

And now I'm going to have some toasted pitta bread and hummous.

I'm sooo tired. I've just spent over 4 hours travelling to and from bloody Streatham
I'm just waiting for some spuds to boil, then I'm crushing them with sweetcorn and loads of butter, and having them with sausages. Best tea ever :)

Roast pork belly, wine, mashed potatoes, wine, peas, carrots and gravy, wine. Followed by wine,Chocolate cheesecake, raspberries and wine.

I got some lamb leg steaks out of the freezr which I would ideally just like to marinate and griddle, but the other half of the same batch I had were extremely tough, so I think I'm probably going to do a casserole, with carrots, mushrooms, rosemary and crusted dumplings and have it with steamed cabbage.

Don't really fancy that though. :hmm:

tonite i'm hosting a dinner at BD's Mongolian BBQ. quite an interesting concept really.

it's all one price ($15?) and all-u-can-eat. they have all the raw meats, seafood, veggies, oils, & seasonings, etc.... you get in line with your bowl and fill it up with the raw food and add whatever you want. then you get in line again and hand your bowl of raw stuff to one of the guys at the grill.

they throw it on this huge round metal grill top at 600 deg F and cook it up for you and then give it back to you.

you then proceed back to your table and chow down :)

quite a good idea to follow the recipe *suggestions* they give you... otherwise the results can be, erm, interesting :D

We're having chicken breast in reggae reggae sauce with rice, stuffed peppers (from the reduced section) and corn on the cob. Can't wait.

PAsta with bacon, leeks and cheese sauce. Caramel ice cream for pudding. It was all most enjoyable.

There is a lovely chip shop by me that is open on a Sunday 4-9pm but that is only a recent thing and I think it's cos it's so popular my other local one isn't open on a Sunday.

Tonight I'm going to have a weightwatcher mushroom pizza, salad and...chips!

we had a mozerella, tomato and home grown basil salad and i made a roasted shallot, chorizo and chesnut mushroom tart (from July's Delicious magazine) with new potatoes and some of our window box chives, chantenay carrots and green beans.
for pudding i made blueberry cheese cake.

then we burnt off all the calories on the wii ;) :D

A massive cheesy mushroom and pepper calzone. :)

I was going to make a veggie roast but had loads of pizza dough left over from last night.

I've just driven miles looking for an open one - is this a common thing?

I think it's a hangover from the days when takeaways weren't allowed to open on Sundays (some government idea about guaranteeing there's at least one day a week when a family sits down to eat a meal together or some such twaddle)

fishcakes, new potatoes and broccoli.

unfortunately it was only me that was eating so even though i cooked i have to do the washing up, which is a real fucking bummer to be honest.

The daughter has just cooked a pile of assorted veggies -french beans, peppers, carrots, peas and new potatoes - dumped boursin on top of them, mixed it up and served it up with loads of cherry tomatoes and spring onions.

It was lush:)

Just finished crayfish, prawns and salad with lots of olives. Nothing fancy - all straight out of the packet - but bloody lovely it was. :)

:(

We were going to sit down together to eat it. :(

Mind you, it was a nice drive out to unexplored villages I suppose. There are some very posh houses round here! :D

Wild salmon, new potatoes and green beans. Just waiting for pud to cook - brioche and butter pudding with baked nectarines.

You best follow their suggestions then. :hmm:

actually i made a great dish... i mixed lamb, ny strip (beef), chicken, onions, leeks, gaaaahlic, bok choy, jalapenos, bean sprouts, mushrooms, some szhecuan sauce, soy sauce and some red chili sauce with tomatoes.

it came out great :)

Phew - that was lucky! :)

We're having spicy lamb burgers in pitta with the first of the raspberries from the plot for pud  with yoghurt.

Ravenous right now.

Not sure what the cupboards will yield later but there needs to be a LOT of it!!!
