Is that because sweetcorn doesn't really go with chips?
For me sweetcorn goes with new or roast potatoes and beans or peas go with chips.

im making a sweet n hot veg curry. just using a Pataks vindaloo with tamarind paste with cauliflower, chickpeas,courgettes, passata and spinach wilted into once it's cooked. i have made it a few times and it's very nice.

**question....curry wants juice of half a lemon...can I substitute with bottled lemon juice**

Potato bake! Slice the potatoes and shallots and layer it with blue cheese and butter dotted about, a bit of stock and bake it. Parboil the potatoes first to save some time if you like.

Thanks, but I decided to leave out the shallots and do tartafin again - comfort food!
