What's for tea tonight? (pt5)

Have taken another portion of chilli out of the freezer :D so either that, or another salmon/veg Thai style soup....I seem to be doing the same two meals on rotation atm... :hmm: :rolleyes: :D

They're both quick though which is handy cos I'm planning to paint the kitchen today!



Yesterday I had Buta Chilli Don from the Japanese place (Pompoko in Church St, Brighton - highly recommended for a cheap, but also tasty and fresh bite to eat :cool: )....breadcrumbed pork in a spicy, tangy sauce, on rice......and shared a few starters.
 
Went to the 3 Monkeys in Herne Hill last night for top notch curry. Still too full to think about tonight yet.
 
I ended up having poached haddock, with a red pepper/tomato/basil sauce, with pesto pasta, and steamed broccoli - and very nice it was too :cool:

Now, that sounds great! (despite the shocking lack of a green salad) :)

The 'help' are on their own tonight with freezer calzones and a green salad while The Albatross and I drive an hour and a half to go to a bistro owned by a former colleague. It'll be osso bucco for me.
 
a cumberland pie and vegetables from the freezer lucky dip.

i can't wait til the boy gets home and i can cook for 2 again :oops:
 
Oh god, you've made me want to make burgers again. We had steak last night. Is that wrong? It's wrong isn't it :(

Of course it's not wrong. What's wrong about having steak one night and cheeseburgers the next? You're hardly eating panda followed by whale meat are you? It's beef. You're allowed to eat it in several forms, sometimes several nights running.
 
Will that be at the airport Cheesy? :hmm:


I've just looked at the calender and I'm supposed to be going to meet some friends at a carvery in an hour! I'm still so stuffed from last night that the thought of it is making me feel sick! :(

haha no. i will be airporting soonage though moomoo. In london for a few weeks first.
 
tonight will either be toad in the hole, made with the sausages left from the kids tea of sausage and mash, or beer. i am favouring the beer option :)

I'm aiming to cook while I can still see straight this Saturday :D (although given the horrendous week I've had, and not having a drink last night, this could be a plan made to be broken)
 
Pitta bread and tara/hummous - I'm still painting, so cooking is not possible without a great risk of covering myself in pink gloss..... :hmm: :mad:
 
going over to my dads in a bit. i'm going to make dinner for everyone since I haven't cooked in some time. Maybe spaghetti with meatballs or chili or a chicken dish. Haven't decided yet but i'll be hittin' the grocery store once I do.

Last of the borscht. Roast chicken, turnip/carrot mash, peas w/ baby onions, parsley boiled potatoes. Green salad.
