I will have a homemade soup that I made yesterday...it has leeks, carrots, parsnips and onion with a generous blobbing of tabasco , veggie stock and tinned tomatoes and it is totally lush. At work later it is pasta, salad and a pkt of crisps and as much water as I can remember to drink.

pasta bake with the small amount of leftover pasta bolagnase from the kids tea, some elderly chorizo, some very elderly onions, 2 types of cheese, and a pack of crushed crisps on the top :D its in the oven now, and i cant wait, havent eaten yet today

I still have hamburgers, corn, beans and potoatoe salad left over from monday bbq but I don't know if I can eat it 3 days in a row! :D

How do you make dhal?

Xanadu's Mum's Dahl
From Urban75 Wiki

Boil the lentils till you can crush a grain without any hard stuff.
Fry some onion, when translucent add some garlic and ginger, stir for a sec, then add a chopped tomato.
Then add a teaspoon of paprika, and half a teaspoon each of cumin, chilli powder, tumeric, coriander and garam masala.
Once the spices are fried off a little, stir it into the dhal.
Add green chilli, salt and vinegar to taste.
Serve with chapatis, or whatever bread you've got lying around.

Am just chucking a sweet and sour stir fry with rice together now, as I forgot to buy the stock cubes for my vegetable risotto.

(posted from laptop on chopping board, in kitchen  )

i'm having leftover hamburgers, potato salad (notice correct spelling :p), beans and corn for the 3rd nite in a row.

oh well, at least its cheap

Last night I made a very tasty chicken casserole, with carrots, onions, garlic, mushrooms and herbs, which we had with jersey royals and broccoli. Kids had scones for pudding. I however, still haven't had one, but TONIGHT, I WILL!!!  :D

Today however we're going out for a late lunch/early dinner with my bezzer.

Gonna try a cheap but really nice looking Japanese cafe we've had our eyes on for a bit. :D
