I don't know, we have to take the cat to the vet again tonight. Apart from a miniscule amount of fish yesterday evening, he hasn't eaten since Thursday morning :(

Did not eat well over the weekend so need to make an effort tonight.
Quite fancy chicken with lots of veggies but will see what looks good in the shop.

Lamb shank and chick pea curry.

I went to make an Italian-style stew yesterday afternoon and discovered I lacked half the ingredients, but I did have an onion, garlic, spices, tom puree and a tin of chick peas. It was most lovely. I added another tin of chick peas and will finish it off tonight

has anyone ever cooked quinola before? (not sure if i've spelt it right!)

I cooked some at the weekend, think i used too much water as it was a bit mushy. And tasteless. :(

Keen wah!!

Is it any different to bulgar wheat or couscous  in other words, is there a purpose for it's existence or is it another one of god's greatest mistakes?? Never had it but it looks totally pointless :(

i'm not vegeterian, but i got it bcos it said on the pack that it's a good, healthy alternative to rice and pasta. I've eaten it in salads before when i've been out, and it's been really nice.

Yes - the main difference being both bulgar wheat and couscous are nice whereas quinoa is gross.

Quinoa just has no substance like bw and cc do - it's just mush

I was going to cook a Hugh Fearnley-whathisname fish pie from the BBC Food website but my fishmonger is closed today! Perhaps tomorrow! - Oh but gotta go to work tomorrow.
