have you moved to america?

in *this* country we have take-away :)
Sorry mile...

Oops

Erm, I mean sorry dodgepot - I knew it sounded wrong as I typed it, but my brain cells are somewhat depleted after the family-sized portions of tequila I managed to get down me neck in 14 hours of drinking

You have an un-natrual capacity for alcohol for one so slight :(

Slight me arse :D

Not unnatural so much, as a complete inability to stop drinking whilst I'm still conscious  I cheered meself up thinking about the amount of vitamin c that was in the sunrises though - got to have been good for me, eh? :D Also worked off a fair bit in our ping pong tournament. Me and my lass shouldn't really play drunken ping pong - it all got a bit competitive and we frightened our guests :D

carrot & courgette spag bol, made with turkey mince. with wholewheat pasta, and garlic bread...

but mi pasta's gone all soggy :(

too starving to care

Oh well, the special meal has gone out the window as I still feel really crap :( so I'm just making root vegetable soup instead.

I did my old oven-baked bacon and tomato risotto again.

I did intend doing sausage casserole, but the sausages (proper butchers ones too!) had got a bit past their best, to the point where I wasn't happy about eating them. What a waste.

Broccoli soup and toast. Have lots of broccoli that needs using up.

Flatmate is eating sausage sandwiches. I'm jealous.

Save it for when you are feeling better then. :) Glad to hear it was nothing too serious but it sounds horrible all the same. Take it easy for a few days. :)

We had tea out on the way back from the Panto.

*Waits for choruses of 'Oh no, you didn't!*.

I've got sprouts and carrots left over from xmas so will roast them up and have with some quorn sausages and gravy I think. Maybe make the gravy a garlicky-mushroomy gravy - not done that before.

nom nom nom

It was delicious. The sprouts were a bit burnt, but lovely and smooshy inside. With the mushroom and onion gravy they were seriously gorgeous.

My soup was delicious :) Really didn't expect it to turn out that well - it was just carrot, sweet potato and butternut squash (with onion and garlic of course), a few dried herbs and some squeezes of tomato paste and harissa. Not even any stock (have run out of Marigold), but it was still lovely.

I made roast butternut squash and red onion soup (and garlic, bit of red chilli and mixed herbs). With granary bread. Totally winged it. Used my new blender and added balsamic vinegar to the roasting mix (a la suburban). yay!

I need to fill the freezer back up with stuff, so tonight Matthew I will be making a mahoosive pot of saussie and chickpea casserole, with all manner of stuff thrown in

Tomorrow will be that porcini and thyme risotto round the Anorak's again - on request, no less

she's cooking tonite so I think she said chicken or turkey sausage with some veggie and a salad

dunno, it'll be a surprise i guess

Also gonna make a pork/chorizo/tomatoey/chickpea thing, but we'll probably have that tomorrow.

That, but with some spinach chucked in once i've reheated it.....with broccoli and some crusty bread.
