well i did put olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the broccoli... :(

irritatingly enough, i'm having lamb tonight, which i was going to have before i read madz's post!

i was!

Don't worry - we're not having it anymore - they've changed their minds

I'm having steak marinated with garlic, with chip and onions and mushrooms.

What are you having instead then, madz?

I think you're lying sheo - you just typed all of that fine-sounding menu but it has no connection with reality. It's just words on a screen. At first glance these are words on a screen too, but these are truth, not the ravings of an internet fantasist. The truth, sheo, is that as ever you will be passed out at 3am on the sofa in front of the space where your tv used to be, snoring sonorously with your pissy poncho on, surrounded by empty cheap lager cans. And that's not just words on a screen, for it is the truth.

This :)

Roast lamb, roast spuds, honey glazed roast parsnips, home grown purple sprouting broccoli, red cabbage and apple braised in cider and balsamic vinegar, yorkshires, mint sauce, gravy and homemade raspberry pavlova for pudding

Had a load of people round for lunch, and I made:

Warm mushroom and puy lentil salad

and

Potato lasagne (!)

plus salad, some cold meats and garlic bread. Leftovers for tea :)

Roast chicken, parsnips, cabbage, potatoes and gravy, then cheese and biscuits - as I am cutting down I'm planning a smaller than usual portion and not as much cheese (or butter) :(

A strange curried noodles thing.

Actually, it's just a chickpea, mushroom and spinach curry but with noodles instead of rice.

It's bloody lovely :)

The hottest mushroom dosa ever, half shares in a bhindi masala, aloo began, tarka dhal and missi roti. *pop*

It's people like you who are holding up my curry. I just rang because I ordered it an hour ago and it's not even been mde yet.

New years day dinner- stuffed turkey crown, sprouts with bacon lardons, garlic thyme and chestnuts, carrots, roast potatoes, little pigs in blankets, gravy and champagne. I gave the lad some champers, he says he does not feel squiffy , but I'm sure he does cos I do! Got chocolate mousse cake to follow and then thats it for sugar and alcohol for me for a considerable time.

Didn't do anything elaborate as it's Blind Lemon's birthday tomorrow and I'm doing a roast (duck) so I just hoicked a chicken pie out of the freezer and we had it with broad beans, followed by fresh fruit and a bit of cheese.

Cadburys Roses.

In my defence, we went to a friends for a late lunch and stuffed ourselves silly on the lovely buffet she had done so no one wanted any tea.

I really need vegetables soon though, I'm starting to feel a bit odd. :(

Roast beef , yorkshire pud, roasties, cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli, sweet potato mash and gallons of lovely gravy. Finished off with banoffee cheesecake for pud.

Bloody lovely:D

I don't know yet. I want to make something special and delicious as a thank you to Mr K for staying up with me last night and ringing NHS Direct on my behalf :) I did promise to make something healthy and fresh-tasting, but part of me is thinking I should cook him a steak :D

You okay? :(

Yeah, I'm fine now :) Just had a terrible headache last night, one of those muscular ones that radiate from the base of your skull. I think it's because I've been coughing so much, my body is a bit knackered. Usually those kinds of headaches go away once I go to sleep, but not this time - I woke up at half one this morning in hideous agony and Mr K got worried and rang NHS Direct. Bless him, what a star - he waited up for them to call back for an hour, even though he has to work today and I don't - I wasn't really capable of doing anything apart from croaking out answers :D

So I think he deserves a spoiling really.

i'm having leftover salad and spaghetti with meatballs and a toasted onion bagel with buttah.....basically what I made sunday nite for the girl :)
