As ever, jacket spuds with cheese, coleslaw and salad totally hit the spot. How can such a simple meal taste soooooo good?

It is definitely the best meal ever. Never fails to satisfy. :D

I had battered prawns with a chilli dip - lovely but the kids kept pinching my prawns so I'm still hungry. :(

I've just made a game bird casserole which is bubbling away in the oven. Just about to get some mashed potato and savoy cabbage going to go with it. Yum.

Teresa's coming over for dinner so i'm making a salad with red wine vinagrette, brocolli and spaghetti with meatballs (yes, from scratch) :)

oh, and a coupla bottles of some nice chardonnay.....and vanilla ice cream for pudding.

mmmm

This woman is a very good influence on you DC. I definitely approve of this relationship. :)

Dunno - we're having dinner at a friend's and I'm not sure what she's cooking, although I think fish is involved. I am providing dessert, which will be a fruit tart

i seem to have forgotten to eat meals the last few days, and theres not much nutrition in choc, so today i will eat tea. it may however, be toast as i will be at work. it may be choco spread on toast to help with the choc withdrawal symptoms i am expecting :D

Roast lamb, roast spuds, honey glazed roast parsnips, home grown purple sprouting broccoli, red cabbage and apple braised in cider and balsamic vinegar, yorkshires, mint sauce, gravy and homemade raspberry pavlova for pudding :)

Where is it you live again?

I'll be round about 6-ish if that's OK?

No individuality!

Tonight we are having 'canapes from around the world' :D to keep us going during an evening of Twister, Guess who and Cluedo.....

Vol-au-vents - Mushroom and stilton/Mushroom and guinea fowl/smoked salmon (all in the standard bechamel ofcourse!)

Bruchetta - Tomato, mozzarella and basil

Potato wedges - which will have some chorizo thrown in with them for the last ten minutes or so of cooking - and mayo

Filo prawns with sweet chilli dip (shop bought - I actually wanted to make spiced tiger prawns and tomato bhugia, but they'd sold out of raw, shell on tiger prawns :( so I bought this stuff, just to get my prawn fix)

Tortilla chips and hummous

Salmon which I'm going to cut into cubes, marinate in some soy sauce and grill

Lettuce with caesar dressing (amazingly, having survived the frost, we still have lettuces on the plot)

And for pud (I bought these too - simply because I couldn't be fucked with making puddings too) we've got mini pavlovas and mini chocolate/vanilla cheesecakes

I am going to pop!

It'll be one of teh three dishes listed below at the restaurant we're going to:

Big Rock Bone-In Filet Mignon
14 Ounce Tenderloin, The House Specialty Served with Sautéed Swiss Chard
and White Cheddar-Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes Market Price

Lamb Chops
Three Double Cut Rib Chops, Ratatouille and Kalamata Olives with a Zinfandel Sauce

Seared Salmon
Peppers, Fennel, Tomatoes, and Fingerling Potatoes
Orange Dill Vinaigrette

Potato, tomato and olive casserole, cannellini beans with thyme & sage, and some unfeasibly inappropriate wine.
