Ooh there's a baked risotto in my new veggie cookbook - might try it next week, or the one above

Those little Good Food cookbooks are quite good, imo. Olive magazine do a range as well, which are even better.

(My cookbook habit is out of control  )

have you set the crust to thick or whatever it is?

I hate crusty bread so I have it on the medium setting and its just right  :D although the light crust setting is perfect for me but bees tells me off

I do have a bread book already so going to hunt that down and see if it has breadmaker instructions in too

the manual that came with it is pretty good so far

I have lots of the little ones but not seen any olive ones, sometimes Olive can be a bit too poncy for me

I don't have a cookbook problem, I can stop at any time *hides currently waiting for delivery amazon order*

Do you know any other good veggie cookbooks? Nice big ones with pictures and dishes in it to impress friends?

The Olive ones aren't poncy at all, they're aces. The only criticism I have is that some of the recipes are repeated across the four books.

What books have you got on order then?

Beef casserole, which is bubbling away in the slow cooker at the moment and making a delicious smell that's wafting through from the kitchen.

I'll either have rice or a jacket spud with it - haven't decided yet.

Change of plan for me

Me lass's g/f has gone to work, so it's not worth making the gratin. Or is it? My lass will only have about 3 spoonsful...

Chorizo and chickpea casserole only the bastard tins of tomato turned out to be adulterated with tomato puree  so am gutted it will taste all minging and 70's. Have tried to rescue it with red wine, rosemary and a bit of sugar.

The thought of a risotto I haven't got to stir for 20 mins is really appealing.
:D I quite like the stirring, but sheer force of circumstance made this appealing - and then I was all chuffed to ribbons because it turned out perfectly and I was all, like, amazed, man :D

You know what my answer to that is.

Change of plan for me too - can't be arsed with curry, so we're having jacket potatoes with cheese, coleslaw and salad. Yum!

Mustard chicken, a 'red cabbagey, apple and bacon thingy' , roast potatoes and salad,

The cabbagey thingy looks good so far.

I'm roasting a chicken and we're having it with veg and mashed potatoes

Tomorrow I might be making a big roast for next door if any of us can ever make up our fucking minds what we're doing

And now I'm stuffing my fucking FACE with this bit of heaven

I loved that risotto. I only had red onion but that worked fine and I didn't have any fresh parmesan:rolleyes: but apart from that it was lush. I have some for work tomorrow and it was all prepared in my new le creuset pot.
