And gravy?

What veg?

Butternut squash, courgette, onions, garlic, small potatoes, chopped parnsips with a sloosh of cider vinegar, some tarragon and salt and pepper.

It'll be served on mismatched plates which are about 8 inches in diameter and eaten with mismatched stainless steel cutlery.

Anything else? :)

Sorry, DC, but I have to ask..........

When you say 'pick up' do you mean you get a takeaway? Only takeaway meatloaf and gravy with mash sounds revolting! Doesn't it go all yukky on the way home? :(

And yes, we do eat meatloaf. Although as far as I know you can't get it takeaway! :p

Moomoo doesn't love me any more :(

Moomoo, go and stand in the corner and think about what you've done. You've been around ur squabbling kids for too long :D

yes, almost all restaurants have take out now. even the very high end ones....so if you have the money you can get pretty much anything as take out. fewer and fewer americans are cooking at home now so its big business.

we have a nationwide chain called boston market that does take out comfort foods. they do rotiserie chickens, ham, meatloaf, chicken pot pies, sirloin, and you have a choice of around 20 different side dishes. Its usually around $20 for a family meal that would serve 2 to 3 people.

The food is very high quality and very close to home-made. Actually, their rotiserie chicken you could probably not even reproduce at home :D

Roast chicken thighs, with potatoes, parsnips, carrots, green beans and gravy :)
Well, it would've been if the chicken had defrosted... pasta, pesto, mushrooms and chorizo instead - chicken tomorrow if I have any energy after college.

Oh, I am so sorry! And I do still love you!

I think it's DC and his takeaways, they are confusing my mind. :(

Did you get anything to eat yet missfran? I'm worried now!

Zorra, I have had a think about my behaviour - can I come out of the corner now please? :D

i was naughty and had 3 puffs on my friends cigarette for dinner

i feel i should probably go downstairs and make something slightly more food based, but i cant really be bothered. i could have a cheese sandwhich or maybe a bacon and egg sarnie.

cheese on toast would also go down a treat

e2a: i now have an fried egg and bacon roll, and 2 slices on cheese on toast

why?

i ended up getting the meatloaf with mash/gravy, corn and green beans almondine along with buns.

i'll be eatin this for a few days :)

We didn't have what I said last night cos we had to go to Costco after work so we'll be having that today with chorizo sausages added to the mix now too. We had a sheet each of BBQ ribs from Costco last night instead.

And now it's Tuesday I can reveal why :D

I'm quitting my job here. I told my boss today who has been off on their hols for a few days. They were shocked and I had to show them my job offer letter to convince them I was serious as I've been here for 8 and a half years and am one of the 'old timers'. I'm currently working for an internet bank in Derby as a web editor and am going off to be an assistant manager in a milkshake shop :D No cooking facilities there at the moment but I hope to get something organised soon so that I can be Mrs Cake and get paid for it and make Mrs Cake's Baked Shakes.

So last night we had to go to Costco for supplies with my new employer cos it's a family business so I've sort of started work already. No chance of gardening leave from here  so I've got lots to do! This thread seemed as good a place as any. I didn't want to start a favourite milkshake thread and have it pulled for cheap marketing practices.
