well I have a chicken stew with cider and thyme on the go in the kitchen

but one bit of the chicken in the pack smelt off, so I binned that bit and used the rest  hope we're ok  (it only smelt kinda weird and only if I stuck my nose in it )

I wouldn't have risked it!

Our dinner was gorgeous! I'm so stuffed now that I can hardly move!

And I even cleaned the oven afterwards! Although I'm struggling with getting the burnt on stuff off the oven door.

*shines halo*

you would? moomoo has made me doubt myself

it's still cooking :D

Oh take no notice of me!

I'm completely over the top when it comes to food! I've chucked an entire shop away before from Aldi because I started thinking about some grubby looking old man I had seen in there and I started worrying that he had touched my food!

And we've got scones and clotted cream left over from my mums visit yesterday, so that'll do for pud with some of her damson jam and a nice cup of tea.

Scones, proper clotted cream and jam?

jtg - you ignoring the bit about bits of the chicken might have gone off :D
I never worry about that. I ate a pie that was going slightly off the other day. was delicious and I'm fine

Now the question is, do I have dumplings in it, or butter beans, or both :D
both of course :)

I could have gone to the parents for roast duck tonight but not in this state :D

Roast leg of lamb. It was organic too. Knocked down to half price from Sainsburys during the week. Roast spuds, roast parsnips, mini carrots, peas and sweetcorn. Stuffing with bits of sausage in and a wicked gravy. All prepared by my own fair hand

And then a fabby fruit brulee for afters. I didn't put quite enough sugar on and I need a kitchen blow torch rather than our crappy grill but it tasted bloody good.

I'm feeling smug now for having done an entire roast dinner without getting stressy.

maybe due to that bottle of red wine you drunk will cooking? :D :p

LOL! Nah a cup of tea is about my limit. Although I did suck my fingers after I'd glugged some marsala into the gravy. :D

gonna make some proper comfort food, homemade potato chips with lots of herbs and olive oil, scrambled eggs with a bit of nutmeg and some beans.

all washed down with a couple of bottles of red wine and some geeb :D

i just had 2 rather large serviings of caramaised onion and goats cheese stuffed pasta. i am going to do the washing up then take a rather large slice of chocolate cake up to bed and watch some quality tv

I had roast rib of beef with yorkshire pud, cooked by my 86 year old gran and eaten at my mums. Followed by a chocoate eclair.

I've just remembered that it's this meal that would be my 'death row' choice of final meal. :)

I'm now on mums p.c. ordering a turkey to be delivered here for Christmas, coz it'll be my turn to cook.

I have no pudding, this irks me greatly reading tales of lemon cake, chocolate cake and bloody scones and jam :D
