Something rich and expensive and ready made
Such as?

I didn't have the predicted butty - had such a shit day that I sacked off visiting the old bat, and went home instead...my girl was there, so we drank some rioja, spliffed, and I'm gonna have pasta with chargrilled aubergine pesto sauce instead. Just after I finish this drambuie...:D

Himself was out watching an Elvis impersonator so I had a sweet potato which was white rather than orange so that threw me a bit, topped with tuna, sweetcorn and slices of raw red onion. All 3 cats were winding round my legs and I could barely get to the sofa to sit down and eat it

Tonight Flashy is paying for a Chinese takeaway. Huzzah! :D

going to cook a great big curry tonight. :) I've been wanting curry for about 2 months now and havn't been able to get round to it till now.

I've got a couple of pork loin chops marinating in some honey, soy sauce and olive oil at home. Not sure what we'll have it with, perhaps some stir-fried noodles.

...some thighs and drumsticks cooked with some fresh chopped tomatoes in a blitzed spring onion/garlic/ginger/cumin/coriander/dried apricot sauce (very nice!)...

^
That, with some basmati and my latest invention  :D some courgettes, cut into slices (1-2cm-ish thick) and fried to brown each side (bot not to cook through so that they keep some crunch) and then stuck into a dressing of fresh lemon juice, olive oil, dried chilli flakes (fresh would be nicer, but I didn't have any), some salt and lots of black pepper, some crushed toasted coriander seeds, crushed garlic, finely diced red onion and lots and lots and lots of roughly chopped fresh coriander.

We had it cold with a picnic yesterday (having made it the night before) and that was very nice, but mixing the courgettes into the dressing while they're still warm and eating them that way can't be beaten....they're bloody lovely!

Which is lucky, cos the courgettes are coming thick and fast on the plot now so any new ideas are greatly appreciated.... :D

roast monkfish with bacon and lots and lots (like 2 whole heads) of garlic. I'll see what cheep veg is on offer in lidl's on way home to go with it.

Oven tea tonight which the teenager can cook as I'm really busy.
