We had coq au vin, rice and bread.

It was definitely a 'comfort food' kind of day. :)

Oh and I have a confession to make! Little one and I had sweet and sour pot noodles for lunch! I hadn't had one for about 20 years! :D

Tea, toast and cake.

had such a massive breakfast that I haven't been hungry all day (except for having ice cream this afternoon which was just sheer indulgence)

We went out for a pub lunch. I had a Portugese fish stew, which was very nice. The tallegio and gorgonzola with pears for afters was excellent.

Shredded crispy chilli beef, boiled rice and spring rolls, all delivered by the lovely chinese takeaway.

toast with ginger jam and a banana, strawberry and apple smoothie/juice . left the peel on the apple, and didnt blend it enough so keep picking bits of peel out of my teeth

I went to London yesterday to take the boy (in particular) and girl (just cos she was there) to the 'Science of spying' exhibition  at the science museum - it wan't all that tbf  defo not worth the entry price (small girl in for free, but £18 for me and the boy  ) but the good news was that my mum paid for a takeaway last night from my fave chinese :D so we had chicken and sweetcorn soup, special spring rolls (they do 3 small rolls - much more like Thai ones, with a lush sweet chilli dipping sauce, but with meat in too), salt and chilli ribs (they do my best ever salt and chilli ribs), noodles with mixed meat and special fried rice (dreary but the boy likes it).

(From Mayva on Pentonville Rd - well worth a go for anyone in the area - I really, really, REALLY miss it as a takeaway!)

Then had half a honeydew shared with my mum for afters once the kids were in bed, for health...heh!

Tonight we were on the train back, so crusty bread with laughing cow cheese triangles and baby plum tomatoes for our main and peaches and kitkats for pud.

Came home and hoped heo might have defrosted some sort of meat  but sadly it was not to be......

my cake made you feel sick? :(

Errr, it was purely the amount that I ate of your cake made me feel sick! :D

Although it is your fault!

If it wasn't so bloody gorgeous I wouldn't have kept having 'just a little bit more'! :p

We're having some kind of potato, bacon, and onion frittata thing. I don't know, I'm just going to make it up as I go along.

spag bolly type thing I think

though it might have chilli added cos its cold - fucking summer

I might have spag bol too, or mushroom risotto as I have loads of mushrooms which are on their way out.

Marinated ribs, courgette potato and feta cakes....maybe some of the dressed courgettes I made the other day too....can you sense a theme here  :D ....and probably some mange tout or whatever else the plot provides.

Stir fried veg, sweet chilli sauce and noodles

Plus a big fat slice of the orange, honey and polenta cake I made at the weekend. Mr Slater, I love you :D I have decided to make cake more often as cake maketh happy people.

My missus has 'found' 2 duck halves in the freezer?!?!?! so we're having them (doen nice and crispy!) with some Dauphinoise tatties. I expect to feel greased up to the eyeballs later on!;)
