What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Federal prosecutors broke law in Jeffrey Epstein case, judge rules

Federal prosecutors, under former Miami U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta, broke the law when they concealed a plea agreement from more than 30 underage victims who had been sexually abused by wealthy New York hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

While the decision marks a victory for crime victims, the federal judge, Kenneth A. Marra, stopped short of overturning Epstein’s plea deal, or issuing an order resolving the case. He instead gave federal prosecutors 15 days to confer with Epstein’s victims and their attorneys to come up with a settlement. The victims did not seek money or damages as part of the suit.

Epstein has a big book of the rich and powerful who attended his orgies prince Andrew bill Clinton etc etc

Trump touts 4th of July event, says it will be 'one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C.' - CNNPolitics

President Donald Trump confirmed that a massive 4th of July gathering he suggested earlier this month will happen, saying that it will be "one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C."

A major 4th of July parade already takes place in the nation's capital each year. The parade, called America's National Independence Day Parade, goes through the heart of downtown Washington and consists "of invited bands, fife and drum corps, floats, military and specialty units, giant balloons, equestrian, drill teams, VIP's, national dignitaries and celebrity participants," according to the parade's website

Earlier this month, the President floated the idea of the parade during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, but there was no mention of one on Sunday.

"We're thinking about doing, on the 4th of July or thereabouts, a parade, a 'Salute to America' parade. I guess it'd be really more of a gathering than a parade. Perhaps at the Lincoln Memorial. We're looking at sites. But we're thinking about doing something that would, perhaps, become a tradition," he said.

wow - what a concept - celebrating 4th of July will become an annual event.

Facebook restores Russia-linked pages, but is still figuring out what to do about state-backed media - CNN

Facebook said Monday that it would allow a network of millennial-focused pages tied to the Russian state-backed media outlet RT back on its platform after having previously suspended them following inquiries by CNN.

Facebook suspended the pages, run by a company called Maffick Media, on Friday, February 15th, as CNN was preparing a report on Maffick's ties to RT, which is funded by the Russian government. RT's subsidiary Ruptly is Maffick's majority stakeholder.
Senator Mark Warner, the leading Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee — which has been investigating disinformation operations on Facebook — said in a statement provided to CNN on Monday, "At this point, Facebook should have established a clear policy when it comes to state-supported media."

"While I'm pleased Facebook made the RT-linked groups disclose the affiliation to RT in their 'About' section, this kind of disclosure should be clear and conspicuous," he added.

Well, the house has (no shock) voted against the idiotic wall, and it's looking like the senate will follow.
That'll really fuck Trump off at a time when he and another bloody idiot with a stupid haircut are discussing nuclear weapons.
Let's hope his hunt for a peace prize wins over blind rage and impulse.

So, this GOP US Congressman from Florida is threatening a witness who's about to give evidence about Trump's crimes before Congress.

Trumps July the 4th Parade plan is because of the Pentagon finally fucking off his plans for a Soviet-style military parade.
Because he's an ignorant arse he had no idea how technically difficult what he was asking is and how stupidly expensive didn't help that Washington D.C. the city realized that the actual damage driving a column of tanks through the city was a once in a lifetime chance to get infrastructure fixed so padded the bill like crazy.:)
Driving tanks in close order is ridiculously hard the Russians "cheat" by having a unit that Just practices doing that when you start moving lots of armor about and units about and practicing for a bullshit parade that's all everyone does which means the unit cant do what it was planned to do then you have to get the US Marines to cooperate with everybody else this the Cult that printed little globe and anchors in its new digital camouflage pattern so none of the other armed services could use it . So the US military was less than impressed with this idea also anyone with any sense thought the Idea of a draft dodger taking a salute was a terrible image.

Good example of what Facebook should do automatically to all people who forward or like posts that Facebook then deletes as false or misleading. Then conspiracy theorists would have their inboxes packed full of Rebuttal messages and they might then get bored and fuck off.

Leaving only messages which Facebook *don't* delete, which people like the shootings survivors in the US could sue Facebook for being defamatory/libelous.

Read: Michael Cohen's opening statement to Congress - CNNPolitics

Donald Trump is a man who ran for office to make his brand great, not to make our country great. He had no desire or intention to lead this nation -- only to market himself and to build his wealth and power. Mr. Trump would often say, this campaign was going to be the "greatest infomercial in political history."
He never expected to win the primary. He never expected to win the general election. The campaign -- for him -- was always a marketing opportunity.

In July 2016, days before the Democratic convention, I was in Mr. Trump's office when his secretary announced that Roger Stone was on the phone. Mr. Trump put Mr. Stone on the speakerphone. Mr. Stone told Mr. Trump that he had just gotten off the phone with Julian Assange and that Mr.
Assange told Mr. Stone that, within a couple of days, there would be a massive dump of emails that would damage Hillary Clinton's campaign.
Mr. Trump responded by stating to the effect of "wouldn't that be great."

Mr. Trump is a racist. The country has seen Mr. Trump court white supremacists and bigots. You have heard him call poorer countries "shitholes."
In private, he is even worse.
He once asked me if I could name a country run by a black person that wasn't a "shithole." This was when Barack Obama was President of the United States.
While we were once driving through a struggling neighborhood in Chicago, he commented that only black people could live that way.
And, he told me that black people would never vote for him because they were too stupid.

Too much to quote it all really, and much of it is vomit-worthy as Cohen seeks to improve his image.

Republicans being cunts already, absolutely desperate to stop the hearing as they are absolutely finished as a party when Trump falls and all the dirty linen comes out.

In blistering testimony, Cohen branded Mr Trump a "racist", a "conman" and a "cheat".

Nothing new there... but the evidence Trump knew all about the emails is a bit of a killer

For those who can't/don't want to watch the whole Cohen testimony shebang, this poor guy is live tweeting with video clips.

"You say you lied but are not a liar. If you lied, then by definition you are a liar. You said the facts were inaccurate. If they are facts, then they are accurate. Just wanted to clear that up".

Yeah, fair enough :D

A lot of this is really quite daft.

I don't know who Thomas Massie is, but he is the one Republican on this committee that actually understands how to ask questions.

I am beginning to suspect that Mr Trump wasn't entirely accurate when he said he hires the best people

For me it probably helps add comedy value to today that the first time I became aware of Cohen, he was still on Trumps side and Peter Serafinowicz overdubbed his voice (words not changed, just silly voices).
