What stupid shit has Trump done today?

Trump is insulting his attorney general - another sacking coming up?
The question is, if Sessions goes, will Trump either hire someone who will fire RM, or just do it himself and,
If he does get rid of the investigation, will that be enough to impeach the orange twat?

Trump calls Attorney General Jeff Sessions 'scared stiff and Missing in Action' - CNNPolitics

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump called Attorney General Jeff Sessions "scared stiff and Missing in Action" on Saturday in his latest broadside on Twitter against the nation's top law enforcement officer.

The Shadow Rulers of the VA — ProPublica

Last February, shortly after Peter O’Rourke became chief of staff for the Department of Veterans Affairs, he received an email from Bruce Moskowitz with his input on a new mental health initiative for the VA. “Received,” O’Rourke replied. “I will begin a project plan and develop a timeline for action.” O’Rourke treated the email as an order, but Moskowitz is not his boss. In fact, he is not even a government official. Moskowitz is a Palm Beach doctor who helps wealthy people obtain high-service “concierge” medical care.
More to the point, he is one-third of an informal council that is exerting sweeping influence on the VA from Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Florida. The troika is led by Ike Perlmutter, the reclusive chairman of Marvel Entertainment, who is a longtime acquaintance of President Trump’s. The third member is a lawyer named Marc Sherman. None of them has ever served in the U.S. military or government.
. . . . hundreds of documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and interviews with former administration officials tell a different story — of a previously unknown triumvirate that hovered over public servants without any transparency, accountability or oversight. The Mar-a-Lago Crowd spoke with VA officials daily, the documents show, reviewing all manner of policy and personnel decisions. They prodded the VA to start new programs, and officials travelled to Mar-a-Lago at taxpayer expense to hear their views. “Everyone has to go down and kiss the ring,” a former administration official said.
At times, Perlmutter, Moskowitz and Sherman have created headaches for VA officials because of their failure to follow government rules and processes. In other cases, they used their influence in ways that could benefit their private interests.

Just a tad worrying. :(

Election officials' concerns turn to information warfare as hackers gather in Vegas - CNNPolitics

After a few hours on Friday, one hacker was essentially able to turn a voting machine into a jukebox, making it play music and display animations. While such hacks are a cause of concern for election officials, they are increasingly looking beyond the threats against traditional election infrastructure like voting machines and voting databases and more to the threat of disinformation.
Def Con organizers arranged for mock versions of some swing states' election board websites, where results are posted, to be built to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Almost 40 child hackers between the ages of 6 and 17 were let loose on the mock sites, and most of them were able to tamper with vote tallies, some even changing candidates names to things like "Bob Da Builder" and "Richard Nixon's Head."

With Trump, it very probably is a stunt but, just like a blind man fumbling for something, he managed to get this one right.
All the arguments against a space force are exactly the arguments about air forces many years ago.
They were wrong then and they're wrong now.

That in no way means Trump is any use at anything, just he managed to get one thing right by pure accident.

It needs to happen, but Trump can't be trusted to do it intelligently. Not to mention Trump has already pushed us way out on a financial limb with increases to our gargantuan defense budget and his tax cuts for the rich.

It's like "infrastructure". A good idea. A necessary idea. Who can argue against it? Except Trump's idea of infrastructure is to privatize it, enriching the donor class even more and screwing the working class even harder.

two thirds majority political action ....not a legal one ....way to many vested interests ....I not so sure thats how he exits either ...

He may be impeached, as in investigated. That happened to Bill Clinton. The House of Representatives can do that and there's a chance there will be enough Democratic Congress men and women to do that. All seats are up every two years.

Highly unlikely he'll be removed though. That's up to the senate and I think it's mathematically impossible to get enough Democratic Senators for that. GOP lesislators have shown, they'll stand by their man no matter what he does.

A majority Democratic House could make him a lame duck and refuse to agree any of his proposals, as all legislation has to pass there first. Hobble him completely.

I'm not 100% on that.
It strikes me these guys primary interest is their campaign contributions (bribes) and they'll likely put them before Trump it if really comes down to it.
We remember a naughty little lawyer who proclaimed he'd take a bullet for Trump - until the fucking bullet came at him.

Except that, if the Repubs retain control of the senate, Trump can continue to pack the courts with right wing judges.
True, as it's the senate that approves appointees.

So we're all fucked then? :(

its not him that's the problem ...its that audience
The news outlets who are covering this shit are the problem. They continue to sensationalize all of the Trumps' moves just like they did during the 2016 election campaign. It's ironic that I find myself agreeing with President Pissbaby calling the news outlets the enemy of the people.

It's a shitty bill designed to funnel even more lolly to the defense industry and embiggen the military, but this is still pretty rude.

Trump Fails to Cite McCain’s Name in Signing Bill Named for Him

President Donald Trump signed defense legislation named for Senator John McCain in a splashy ceremony at a New York Army base on Monday without once mentioning the ailing Arizona Republican’s name.

Trump traveled to Fort Drum, New York, from his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, to sign the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act, the fiscal 2019 version of legislation Congress passes annually to set priorities for the military. He was joined by Vice President Mike Pence, who traveled separately from Washington.

In an unusual ceremony, Trump and Pence observed soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division perform an artillery drill as attack helicopters hovered overhead before delivering speeches from a stage festooned with flags and military hardware.

“I’m here today to sign our new defense bill into law,” Trump said. “The national defense authorization act is the most significant investment in our military and our war fighters in our nation’s history.”

Neither of the men mentioned McCain, 81, the Navy veteran who while fighting brain cancer at his home in Arizona has become one of Trump’s most outspoken critics in Congress. McCain, who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, hasn’t been back to Washington in months, and his colleagues titled the bill in his honor.
