What are you having for breakfast?

Overnight oats overnighted in banana, blueberries, greek yogurt and milk with a pear and trail mix. It's passed the FiFi test, number one cat appears when I'm making porridge, hopeful for leftovers, I did wonder if this would prove as tempting and it is :D

What's in the trail mix? Is it something you've knocked up yourself? Sounds delish!

My usual teeny bit of wholegrain roti slathered in yeast extract and peanut butter - just a taste really.

Only a couple of hundred calories and low-GI so hopefully barely actually breaks the 18 hour daily fast.
I am not yet ready to just have coffee which apparently boosts natural glycogen release ...

I'm wondering now if I will ever buy another breadmaker when I move - the smallest loaf is more ready calories than I want to have easily available.
I suppose it depends on exercise level and social life ... just as I would need to furnish guest rooms, I may need a whole separate guest kitchen...
Chances are if I go in for bread in future it will be handmade sourdough.

A quarter of the roti I made yesterday.

If it wasn't for other things that slip into my basket in Aldi (jumbo oats, oatcakes, Bombay mix), this is my total daily intake of grains - 25g of WM flour. - and rendered insulinemically inert by peanut butter.
Significantly more satisfying than oatcakes - even after 3 days in the fridge.

I look forward to a new life where I will need more fuel, but for now this does it for me - aided by the magic of coffee and 6 word games. Half an hour to ingest perhaps 200kcals - My model for my eating habits in the future - which will hopefully include sharing with others rather than wolfing down large volumes of thankfully low-calorie food in front of a screen.
