I'm about to make some mint choc chip brownies (using mint matchmakers).
I don't think I've ever made brownies before, any tips?
I suspect the secret is getting the timing right so they are cooked to the right consistency.
Half price chocolate day at Lidl. 17p a bar for milk chocolate. Its not the best eating chocolate but its excellent cooking chocolate. So Im going to start with brownies, then make cookies.

This week has been a half term bakeathon
I've baked a chocolate hazelnut fudge cake for a Come Dine With Me evening at my mates, two ace loaves of bread, some shortcake biscuits and this morning i baked a good luck chocolate cake for purenarcotic as she starts placement tomorrow.
I just wish we didn't have an oven that leans to one side as results often come out lopsided

The purple on the tip and the black round the edges are ciloured using gel colour. It's pretty tasteless and says on the tube that one tube has enough colour for 24 intensely coloured cupcakes. It would be expensive to make that polka dot cake!
I had an oven like that and with some you can compensate by putting the oven rack on third rung one side and second rung the other iyswimI just wish we didn't have an oven that leans to one side as results often come out lopsided
